I was lucky to receive this email from a buddy of mine. This was a real event and persons inside the tank did perish.
Laser-Guided rocket vs a tank... It seems tanks are inferior in the modern combat of today.

Here is the details along with the video.

[What you are about to watch is an actual event. Our forces filmed this in actual time. What you are about to see is a fully armored Syrian tank being hit by an Israeli laser-guided, steel-penetrating, phosphorous-filled "hand held" rocket. The rocket is small, very portable and is a tightly controlled weapon, each one is accounted for when they
are checked out and back in. There must be no fewer than 2 soldiers present to verify the use, one must be a senior officer with a minimum of 10 years military service. (Sorry, the name and program is kept secret.)

This tank was headed for one of Israel 's settlements, there were four more tanks one mile to the rear of this tank. (They turned around before getting to this area.)

You can hear the ammunition going off after the initial strike. No tank member survived this event]

That's an impressive bit of weaponry. Depending on the range of this little rocket, the applications for something like this are astronomical.

Not new. Not a Syrian tank. Not manned. Not fired on by Israeli forces.

It's merely a planned and coordinated demonstration of the Bill (Bill 2) missile that's been in service of the Swedish Army since 1988.

Op is a dirty liar. It's pretty obvious that the video is lifted out of a documentary, it even has a bit of narration left in. It's run the round here before, too. It's not any sort of phosphorous or thermite weapon either, it's clearly a shaped charge or EFP of some sort setting off an internal ammunition explosion in the tank. The tank also does not match the silhouette of any tank Syria operates. And I'm fairly certain that the missile isn't Israeli, nor is the terrain the tank is getting blown up in that of the Israeli-Syrian border.

So basically every word of the OP is a lie.

I don't think it's fair to call him a dirty liar, he was ill-informed.
That reaction is amazing, and I loved how it floated through the air almost like a bird to the target.
Technology these days is amazing.

Cheers

Im going to have to stop you right there. I received this video from a friend in an email. I decided to share it with the ATS community under the weaponry section. An admin has gladly debunked my thread. He even showed me the source of the video. It is an Anti tank missile shot at a tank. I think if you took the time to read the above posts. You would have not wasted your time typing this meaningless message. Its my 3rd day on ATS. and the fact that you say every word i type is a lie. Is pathetic. I was lucky to make such a mistake in my early days here. Choosing to post a thread. doesn't just take your Information you wish to post. You have to do research to check if it hasn't been posted before or if it is legitimate. I have already contributed to the community by 36 replies, and 3 Of my own threads. And all members are more then satisfied with my advice. So please don't come here all agro judging me by one false post.

Think before you speak mdiinican.
Peace

I don't even care. Seriously.

Maybe if you tried thinking before you posted, you'd have done the barest bit of research instead of just reposing whatever you get in your e-mail. Being a person who thinks anything someone sends them in an alarmist chain letter is true is probably almost as bad as being a liar.

War isn't nice. The Sherman tank wasn't called a "Tommy Cooker" for nothing during WWII.
