The SOCOM with all "the bells and whistles" is nice. Consider the availability of ammunition. A "straight" SOCOM" with out the "bells and whistles
is a better choice when "taking the field". Rugged, dependable, sure fire power, maneuverable and in the hands a well trained shooter will deliver
the desired result.
"You get what you pay for" takes on a whole new meaning when it comes to this "weapon of choice". Price: Around $1700 bucks. Clips go for around
20-25 bucks. Make your own ammo and keep the "lot #" the same. IMR 4895 powder, Federal GM match primers and your choice of cases. Bullet weight
will be your choice also. You can make your own for about 1/4 to 1/3 the cost of buying ammo at the store. Making your own will assure you that your
ammo is "exact". "Correct consistency= greater accuracy".
