I have just been looking at the list where it says how many posts made, threds made etc, etc, and its says i've got -593 ats points.

Does the minus (-) mean i've done some things wrong on ats that i've had points deducted for?

Can anyone enlighten me please?

Either that or you bought a background or something in the ATS store. If you'd had points deducted from getting a warning you'd have gotten a message about it though, so if you haven't gotten a message then that's likely not what happened to them.

You lost points due to a staff action taken on your account many months ago. You may have also purchased something in the ATS store before the switch to the new format.

Question answered.
