Hizbullah and Iran now have a common interest in escalating tensions in the Middle East: Hizbullah, with the help of Iran, may be planning to stage a coup in Lebanon to cover up and divert attention from its role in the assassination of former Lebanese prime minister Rafik Hariri. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s plan to visit Lebanon in the coming weeks should be seen in the context of Hizbullah’s plot to take over the country.
The UN-backed Special Tribunal for Lebanon is about to publish the results of its investigation into the killing of the former prime minister. According to reliable sources, the report is expected to hold Hizbullah responsible for the assassination. Now that its true face is about to be unmasked, Hizbullah is, of course, panicking and searching for ways to get out of the sinkhole.
Hizbullah’s rhetoric and actions in recent weeks suggest that the Shi’ite organization is up to no good.
Statements issued by Hizbullah leaders in the past few days indicate that the organization has evil plans. Nawwaf al-Moussawi, a Hizbullah MP in the Lebanese parliament, warned that any Lebanese who accepted the international tribunal’s indictment findings would be killed as a “collaborator” with Israel and the US.
Following Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's controversial visit to Lebanon this week, Lebanese daily 'An Nahar' reported on Friday that Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri rejected a proposal by Iranian President Ahmadinejad that Lebanon join the regional axis, which currently consists of only Iran and Syria.
According to the Lebanese newspaper's sources, Hariri told Ahmadinejad that the Lebanese "coexistence formula" does not allow Lebanon to join any regional alliances and that such steps require consultations among the Lebanese parties.
However, Hariri added "The culture of confronting Israel has been deep-rooted in the minds of the Lebanese since a long time and that they are the ones who have suffered the highest prices and sacrifices in this confrontation in order to support the Arabs' main cause - the Palestinian cause," according to the report.
The Zionist days are over, because countries are actually supporting the other side now
Iran has promise to supply weapons to the Lebanese army, to defend itself from Zionist aggression.
That being said, they can come to power Democratically, just like Hamas, then again the West might blockade Lebanon also
No, Hizbullah have much support in Lebanon, they are part of the government.
