I'm a Capitalist Liberal. We rock. I have been in the young and college democrats all my life. The first person I voted for was John Kerry, then President Obama and many other democrats. Let's go Democrats! Team Blue!

Well, eight or nine years ago I was classified as a moderate republican.

But since the Glen Beck influences have kicked in I am now known widely as a liberal communist hippie disinfo agent protagonist zombie Obamabot...

Strange how things change when nothing has really changed at all

Glenn Beck is a loser. He would do anything for money and go against Israel. I can't stand people like him. Heck Socialist make more sense then he does.

Explanation: S&F!

Personal Disclosure: OL is slightly left of center with my political point of view [pov] according to the left right center paradigm that currently exists, but those tests that I took to confirm that obscure my more authoritarian nature. I do not confuse politics with economics and I recommend that you keep economics out of this thread as much as possible OK!

I am what is traditionally politically known as a pinko and I find no shame in that term for a multitude of reasons which I am willing to discuss elsewhere and elsewhen.

But I have been advocating a leaderless democracy as of late and I am quite willing to discuss that presently.

Bloody? Just because I believe in freedom of the people and the Democratic policies of Founding Fathers doesn't mean I'm a commie. When was the last time Republicans were the party of Lincoln? Since Teddy Roosevelt.

Who ever said you were a Commie? I am a Democrat, although my party has abandoned me in favor of special interests and the rich. I am not a Liberal rather a New Deal Conservative Democrat who votes based upon principles and not just party politics.

You can't just vote party line, never be loyal to your party unless they have won your loyalty. I don't plan on voting Democrat for Senate or Governor this year in Florida, I am voting Independent in each. I would not support Obama in 2012 either, you must make every politician work for your vote.

I'm not any type of politician, don't you know politics makes people corrupt? I'd rather hold on to my personal integrity than give in to politics.

Besides, I don't think I could handle all that public scrutiny and the nasty Attack ads from my opponents.

A few years ago I was a conservative Republican.
Then without doing anything suddenly became a fringe element that threatens to terrorize the western world...

However considering the situation and my personal philosophies I would if I had the power probably be quite the tyrant. Since I favor strongly the Spartan form of government, and life style I think many people would hate me.
Forcing my people to eat bread and water everyday in order to instill discipline is hard work, Beating the children in order to make them "tough" and "hard" inst an easy task. I essentially would run a nation of nut balls and mental whack jobs.

Isnt that North Korea?

No, that was not a serious answer, because I can't believe this is a serious thread.

I took one of those Political Compass Tests.

It says I'm left of center libertarian. I don't think the questions are exactly fairly worded so I don't think this is accurate- just something I did when I was bored a while ago.

How can you be a Democrat or any other party for that matter if you truly want the people to rule??
The people will NEVER rule while any Party is in power...

I think Winston Churchill said it best...

"Show me a young Conservative and I'll show you someone with no heart. Show me an old Liberal and I'll show you someone with no brains."

He also said:

" Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy "

" A liberal is a man with both feet planted firmly in the air. "

Who am I to argue with that?

The only problem I have with "democracy" is that basically three wolves and a sheep are voting on what's for dinner.

How do you guarantee that you get to be one of the wolves instead of one of the sheep?

Yeah, I went to the link. The way the test is written, it is obvious that it was written with a liberal mindset. I mean, the first question is just silly, and then gets worse from there. By the time i got to the second page, I just had to leave. Silly test.

A politician in my country pledges allegiance to the Queen of England and in turn the City of London I pledge allegiance to neither so I couldn't be a politician of any stripe.
