Yes....I saw that one this morning...I'm like that too...I go to youtube and 2 hours are gone before i know it. There are some really funny ones on there like people saying aliens are in the gulf etc I didn't read the comments , but I will soooo will it be The Money Pit or The Pits of Hell?? Take your pick....

From the beginning I've waited for someone to claim 'the aliens did it' I believe in other life forms in the universe,but am not as convinced they are hanging out around a toxic disaster.

The little black thing, again, not fully accepting the narration, is a weird looking little do-hicky thingy...see, I'm getting techinical now

In this crisis we must find our bits of humor where ever we can. Otherwise the gloom could overwhelm.

This is the control panel of the platform thing I posted earlier...it has been sitting at 465 feet all day....in the past hour, they have started foolong with this control panel

The feeds might be monitored, but WHERE are they monitored? At the source, or just seeing the same things YOU can see? How do you KNOW the feeds are live in the first place?

I get your frustration. We're all feeling it & I've posted more then one rant on the subject. Many of us have asked the same questions you are asking. They are valid questions. I think most of the folks here would agree with my opinion that if BP personnel are breathing they are lying. It's the standard we've come to expect & BP has been caught in the act more then once. I don't think any one here is buying whole sale what they are selling, or showing us. Much of our discussion is about what else is going on down there. We know we are working with flawed information from BP. That's the point. We are trying to make sense of what we do see & know is going on even though what is going on is either lied about, or out right ignored. We know BP has a great deal more footage then what is being made public.

We've long known the insane are in charge of the asylum. BP officials should be brought up on criminal charges...but they won't be. On the off chance charges are filed it will get bogged down in the system until we are all too old to know or care.

I realize I'm using 'we' a lot, & no, I can't speak for everyone. This topic has gone on a while now & I do know there are many who would agree with most of what I've come to understand & believe. I think our only options are to band together & try to find the truth for ourselves. Heaven knows we can't expect it from BP.

Very well said...and I know it's difficult for those who have not been following the threads
to jump in & try to make heads or tails of what's going on...for me just missing a week or a few days was hell trying to catch up due to the volume of information I had to weed through....we're all together in trying to
piece the puzzle together...sometimes I think a few of the ROVers throw us a bone & show us things that are real.
Just think if you were in a position such as they, an extreme disaster happens that's being covered up in the way this pony show has been & you totally don't agree with not only what's going on but also how it's being handled, I would think it would weigh heavy on your moral chain & being able to slip something in truth wise would make you feel better by hoping someone noticed the information that you yourself provided....hope that made since.

I watched that thing all day yesterday. It stayed at around 465 ft and the rov was trying to hold on to it while it was getting thrown all over the place. Then yesterday evening, they went up to a control panel and inserted a tool into it.....don't know what it was for. They were looking at parts of this thing all day though. It has some kind of canister on it

BTW great job!!! You know it took a lot of turbulence to throw that huge thing around like that. At one point it pushed up very close to the ROV, then got pushed downward really fast. The chain holding it up passed in front of the camera....and the LINKS of the chain were HUGE..... So you can imagine how big the platform is.

You made perfect sense. There are days that I sit here for hours, reading, watching, questioning, as I try to find some logic in what's before my eyes. This is all alien ground for me. ( Sorry...couldn't resist. ) So when a tid bit is tossed in my direction I tear it apart looking for the answer to what I've just been given.

Unless BP has some sort of weird psych eval to find the most morally bankrupt people on the planet, there has to be people on the inside with a conscience. We can't expect folks to give up their jobs & we don't want them to give up their jobs. Speaking for myself I want them to stay under BPs radar & keep tossing a detail or two in my direction. Without people like that where would we be now?

So, I must amend my statement about BP personnel lying. It's those in power that can't be trusted. And not all of those in power are on BPs payroll. Many are on ours, although they seem to forget that. I'm not talking about just one person, I'm talking about the whole system.

Eleven men died out there & others were injured, due to the negligence & greed. At minimum that's manslaughter, but it's gotten lost in the shadow of this disaster & the mass chaos that followed. Why haven't we heard more about the families who lost a man that day? I would want them to be given the respect & privacy they deserve, of course, but there isn't one of them willing to speak up now? I know one man has spoken up, because he lived to tell the tale, but where are the others? Maybe the survivors have already hired attorneys & have been told not to say anything. Or maybe BP wrote some big checks?

I don't think those 11 deaths are the end of it. Over the next decade, I believe, many more will die as a result of that negligence & greed. In fact I fear for the safety of the entire Gulf region. By extension, & weather patterns, even those of us living to the north & east are at risk.

And then there are those eruptions. I can't decide it they are natural to the area, or did BP trigger it by drilling into it? Why is there so much activity around a dead well? Why are those cameras focused on areas erupting & why doesn't some one answer the damned questions?

And so, we band together here digging for truth...trying to find a few answers working with the only tools we've got...ROVs, people who do have experience, and our own determination. I'm hoping we can find answers before Hells Pit decides to take on the entire hemisphere.

How's that for a rant?

I just finished watching Ektars posted vids. I don't have a clue as to what that thing is or what it is doing down there. Who could we ask? Equipment like that must have experts who do know what it's used for...but who?

Can divers go down 450 ft or so?

My first video!!! Finally figured it out LOL! OK....watching the feeds and these white things kept appearing. Everytime the ROV saw one they zoomed in and watched it. After a few seconds, the white thing would suddenly turn black, then dissolve into a black fluid.....

Can you make out what it says on the front of that thing? I see 'Control, arm, *umber...'

Why they have a platform & control panel down there at all is curious.

It says (from left to right) ....Primary.....centralizer arm close...Chamber 1 secondary...and the one with the nozzle in it says.... Clamp arm open
