i shouldnt have directed my rant to anyone in particular and was trying to explain what happened
and this was the first time i ever tryed to capture something unusal and make a gif
so im a little upset i didnt get more frames closer together

If you look at the webcam right now there isnt anything in the sky. Isnt it peak operations time in the area right now? Or it might be that its just really cloudy.

The clouds look to be at the same altitude all the "ufos" were flying at. I'm sure the airliners are being directed to fly above the clouds.

I have been looking at the web cam on and of for the last hour
and i haven't seen a single light yet.
I'm waiting....waiting...4...the....xxx...to show up again.

My main point was that the "ufos" were not flying faster than 500 mph that is why I used that figure.

Hi all

I saw this last night to, and it lasted for at least a couple of hours.

Ive had this webcam up all day, (soon to be 15 hours) and ive seen nothing, nada, all day long, exept a couple of contrails high up to the upper left corner, and Im still waithing for the plains

There is a 4300 foot overcast with broken clouds at 2,300 feet, rain and 7 mile visibility at La Guardia.

Approaching aircraft are about 8 to 10 miles from the webcam and low (less than 1000 feet). Aircraft on departure seem to be taking off heading north and quickly climbing above the overcast.

Not a good evening for plane spotting.

You know how i feel about you Phage so i hope you are right.
I'm pretty sure on what i saw last night...both UFO's and plains, but we
will see when the weather clears up again.

Thanks Phage for that information. I checked the weather forecast and the webcam and it seems to be raining for sure.

However, the "ufo" video with the lights was taken from the Empire State Building, and was pointing South. The aircraft seem to be coming from the right side of the view. Right exactly in the spot the aircraft seem to be coming from is Newark International airport. Do you have any information about Newark International?

I believe they take off heading South, away from the camera.

Considering they were just planes of course.

FYI

Apparently the flap was predicted.

i took a series of screen shots and your right the comparision is obscured by cloud

my three questions are

why are the planes coming from two different places on the ground?
how do two planes appear to end up in the same place and matched flight paths?
there is a strange effect from the larger object whats causing it?

I did a timelapse and froze the scrren and found two things i cant seem to know what they are

its between the 8 or 9 sec mark on the cam 1 time lapse

The conditions at Newark are almost the same as the ones at La Guardia

Visiblity is 6 miles few clouds at 3000 feet, broken layer at 4800 and overcast at 6000 on top of that there is rain
