Sorry but that is incorrect, whilst the average depth of USSR underground nuclear tests was around 800 metres deep there were quite a few deeper than
1km and several deeper than 2km, that is why this event caught my eye.
Normally when the depth of an earthquake is unknown and is "shallow" they put 10km, so 2km is quite precise as to the depth in this case. 2km for an
earthquake is VERY shallow.
