I found this website today via Steve Quayles site. It has some pretty cool photos. Just putting it up for your enjoyment and discussion. It makes
me wonder, with the technology they were playing with in the 70's we must have some really good stuff now.
From design drawings to being in service is a period of about 20 years or so.. more in the old days. Example, the F-111 was originally designed in
1947 (going by memory) and entered service in the 60's. So aircraft like the F-117 Stealth Fighter/Bomber would have been in developement during the
late 60's to early 70's as indicated by the date on the photos for that page.
I would assume other tech can take about as long to be fully operational.
They had a fake Nazi helmet saucer UFO.
Yeah thats a credible site.
They can't know so much showing you that and guess what happen you,
you end up not knowing so much as a result.
Webmaster do as they are told.
Yeah the fake Nazi UFO does not lend much credability to this site but some of the other pics are nice and I do agree that the dating is a little off
on some of the captions.
I still think that most of the dates are off by a good 10 years.I could be wrong, since I'm not an expert. But I thought the "have blue" project
was late 70's early 80's... which was the test planes for what evolved into the stealth fighter.
Yes when I said the dates where a little off I was being nice because some of them are way off.
Avro car first flight in 1959. Pic says 1955.
I would guess that the pic of Area 51 was taken in late 1990 or early 2000 insted of 1970.
Sikorsky Cypher was developed in the late 1980s and first flown in 1992. Pic says 1960.
Global Hawk pics are more than likely from some time in 2000.
Darkstar first flight was in 1996. The pic says 1990.
X-47 Pegasus first flight in 2003. Pic says 1970. Also in this pick you can see on the wall it says Northrop
Grumman. They did not merge until 1994 so this pic can not be from the '70s.
X-45 first flight in 2002. Pic say 1995.
The U-2 Dragon Lady pic looks like it is from 2000 sometime.
The SR-71 pics are the most accurately dated as that project ran from '64-'98. Also the SR-71 did not carry any weapons as it was a long range
reconnaissance aircraft. There are two pics with dual canopy and dual cockpits. These were training models of the aircraft and the instructor would
sit in the rear cockpit.
Have Blue was from '76-'79. Pic says 1965.
F-117 first flight was in 1981. Pics say 1966 & 1980.
The Lockheed X-32/X-37 is not real that is a digital image.
Bird of Prey first flight in 1996. Pic says 1992.
A-12 developed probley in the late 1980s and was canceled in 1991. Pic says 1975
