What if WE created the aliens?

A weird little thought popped into my head the other day and I really have no one else to share it with save for the ATS community. What if "Aliens" are our own creation? Some scientific experiment that evolved quickly into an advanced civilization. We have been meddling in technology for decades and maybe we did create these UFO's and supposed ET's. They see that the ones who created them do nothing but harm people and planet and set up shop on another planet and improved upon the design of their ships. Could be the reason that the gov has such a huge problem with disclosure. Just a random thought. Enjoy

it is possible, if we can do it (not sure if we can), but seeing as though one of the limits to space travel for man is the effects on the human body, maybe it would make sense to create something more suited to space travel.

but i see no evidence, the way they seem to react to them suggests they don't know where they came from and they are invading our air space, if we are linking them to u.f.o.'s.

The problem with disclosure for governments (especially in the US) is that they don't even know how to handle the ET presence (lack of intelligence) and the violation of their air space. As far as the question is concerned, we, as an experimental race, did not create "the aliens". We, however, are genetically engineered with alien DNA.
Just my 2 cents.

While this could be true I don't know how top scientists, because I assume it would be top scientists creating such beings, but no one would start off creating a whole army of them and all of a sudden we are out numbered at a science lab and the beings take over, and it's like a movie.

I think if scientists created some super human lets say, and once it started blinking it's eyes, breathing, wiggling it's toes, moving it's figures, then ripped itself off the exam table and started running a muck, I think the scientist, could just shut the doors down in the lab so it couldn't escape, and kill it.

This is my common sense for humans creating some advanced being. Sorry. We also have Air Force that could take it down, and tanks, and subs, it wouldn't escape.

Another far-fetched daydream. Terence Mckenna proposed a similar theory that the machines (computers) we create could be a potential future alien intelligence. This is because the human brain 'clock speed' is extremely slow compared to the modern day processor. Machines acting on a digitally allocated virtual reality within the system would evolve thousands, millions, to (potentially) near infinite times faster than organic lifeforms. Because of this we wouldn't see them "Sail their first ship across the ocean to discover a new world". They'd evolve in leaps and bounds, and even if the AI came into some sort of metacognitive awareness, we might not realize it or even be able to discern what higher intelligence is.

As for your theory, it's a little naive; if you weren't relating to the computer-type that is. Even if we created some new intelligent species in a laboratory, there's no logical reason that would allow them to evolve into an advanced race within that timeframe. Perhaps you mean some sort of inter-dimensional entity that has access to all information within the space-time continuum? Regardless, the idea is about as sci-fi savvy as it gets.

Perhaps we have created some sort of being, but I don't believe it could have been any sort of highly intelligent being.

In any case, our scientists are too busy working on important developments like the seedless watermelon and the As Seen On TV, "booty pop".

You come to the game a little late! Humans created aliens (the most popular are the greys and reptilians) just as they created the judeo/christian god and jesus and all other myths. Creative film writers gave us the faces to go with the names.

And don't go off with this government and disclosure crap - no such thing. The government doesn't know any more than you do so it cannot disclose nothing.
