You contradict yourself, all in the entire post, that I reproduce below:

Animals kill or leave dying animals - animals do not sit around trying to help.

But animals do not taunt - maybe they would if they could.

That this unspeakable thing happened just goes to show that we are not equal to animals - we are below them.

Animals behave according to instincts, and accepted (to their specific species) patterns that warrant the survival of the "fittest", per natural selection criteria. HOWEVER, in certain OTHER species beside homo sapiens, there ARE indications of some sort of awareness, and even, if only by anthropmorphising, some "emotion" that resembles the Human emotions of sorrow, exhibited.

Your LAST sentence just completely is non sequitur and destroys any semblance of "argument" you wished to convey....and I admit, I'm at a loss as to exactly WHAT your point is??

Your last sentence, above, seems to imply, with a "broad brush", the same motivations to an entire species (humans), and ignores the INDIVIDUALS who don't always respond per the stereotyped depiction presented, there.

The woman who posted the offending photos has since apologized .

She said she was ignorant, stupid and sorry.

An apology is a step, but it must be examined as to motive....her "apology" was motivated by, WHAT?, exactly?

ohhhhh no no no! In a sane world she would be taken to the center of town and have tomatoes hurled at her. That would be real justice for this kind of thing! We can't do that now as that would be deemed assault. I PAID for my dumb mistakes as a teenager and learned RESPECT and DECENCY after being SHAMED.not simply apologizing. Now granted the whole internet didn't get my address, and I don't quite believe things should go that far, but shame is in order here.

I have seen animals that do mourn their dead and dying companions,a duck was struck by a car and was dying and her family circled around and was quacking and mourning their friend,I've seen it with horses,elephants and numerous other animals.So yes they do try to help just not in the way we do.

Can you hear yourself...in SANE WORLD we would hurl tomatoes!!??!! To truly make the best of it would be to be Civilized, patient and forgiving. To stop yourself from reacting with your brain stem and thinking with compassion and intellect is TRUE sanity. Forget about the crazy devil lady and give compassion to the suffering family.

You really think a sick little girl would like to see angry crazy neighbors hurling tomatoes at her crazy devil neighbor? She probably just wishes everyone would quiet down and go away and let her play and spend time with her family in peace......bring peace...not tomatoes

I would actually have to agree with you here.

What do you think the little girl would say if asked,

"Should we hurt the lady across the street for what she did?"

I think in her last days she would want peace and love, not chaos.

I remember reading a story a few years back about a lady that had an obe or vision in the 1970's, I can't remember which. She said she was shown America's potential future unless things change. She had a vision of America being attacked and us going into several countries as a consequence. Then a financial crisis had followed which slowly got worse until there were many homeless about.

The scary part of the message was that everyone was at each others throats in the later stage for the slightest of insults, and in many cases, people were being killed for no reason at all. America had become a country of hate, vengeance and greed, where and the law of the jungle took hold.

When I saw this thread and the ill will they had toward this girl, sadness for the girl and rage for the neighbors started to build up in me. Then I remembered I have a choice and sent a prayer of love and good thoughts to the girl, and nothing to the neighbors. No ill will, no nothing. If I hold animosity toward them, it hurts me, not them, since I am here and not there.

The above vision can easily be our future though as times get tougher, which they will. We can focus on the good and helping others as a community as they did in the Depression when people need a helping hand or lash out against any and all that slight us, or make us angry in someway. We have a choice.

I don't agree with advocated violence through vigilantism, because where does it end, once you start it.
If someone gets beat because somebody slanders them with a horrible accusations then what? Or frames them, for something they didn't do? As a civilized society we can't go there.

However it is good people are outraged over things like this, otherwise the cancer of apathy would be too strong, I find there is too much apathy in the world these days people only seem to care about their own little bubble world. So when people cry out in disgust, like they are doing in this thread, that is a very good thing.

I agree with your stance, in that it is good as a community to speak out for wrong doings like this, because as it so happens, it has made it to those involved. We can thank the internet for that as well.

I am glad to see that people can circle up and bay down the bad wolves. The bad wolf is still a bad wolf though. The baying won't change her. At most it taught her to back the *snip* down.

See, this woman is SOOOOOOO dumb and so broken inside that literally a NATION of people can lay a line for her and she STILL doesn't get it.

But the people who did good things, by protecting and laying a boundary down, they showed someone who needed it love. And that really is worth way more in the long run.

The stupid woman is still stupid. But a little girl knows that the world isn't like her neighbour, and people are willing to protect her.

What is just as bad as the couple doing the taunting is a community that will allow this to continue.

Yes, it's SICK, EVERYONE agrees with you, these people have made asses of themselves on national television. It's offensive, it's outrageous, this girl does not deserve this.

It's not a criminal offense because there is no intent for bodily harm. The intent is to be mean spirited. If being mean spirited is a jailable offense, our country would be nothing but bars and guards, because damned never EVERYONE would be in jail.

There is something call "Breech of Peace" law enforcement officers use this law to arrest people when they over extended their bounds and breech other peoples right to peace, so yes you can be arrested for this.

People in the USA are entitled to their peace, whether it's enforced all the time is another issue.

This law actually originally comes from the UK and is used more frequently over there.

Yes, they're entitled to peace, and these 2 hideous neighbors are not disturbing the peace.

They're clever and crafty, agreed, and it's not right what they're doing, but to say it's illegal is just gullibility.

A lawyer would say something like:

"The parents don't have to visit the facebook page"

and

"These people are allowed to have a coffin decoration - it IS Halloween time"

etc.


again im not siding with these people, but i also can't stand it when others add sensationalism and their own home brewed assessments of the situation.
