What has become of our country? Why have liberty loving people of all backgrounds sat idly by as we watch our livelihoods being destroyed by those who
swore to uphold the principles and ideals of our republic. Why have we in the face of such growth of ‘Government have we simply sat on our coaches
reading celebrity magazines and watching T.V. instead of paying attention to the political corruption and hypocrisy of our era. This nation was once a
great nation of principle, reason, justice, and freedom but look where it has gone. We see now that our country has debt that is excessive and
unreasonable, programs which push us closer to a socialist economy where the rights of the people to make their own economic choices infringed upon,
and the basic ideals of the freedoms guaranteed with the passage of our constitution brought to an end in the idea of protecting us. Does that make
sense to you the government takes away you basic rights of security in your home, papers, and possessions in the interest of protecting you from
terrorism? Do you not realize that tyrannical governments with these powers have slaughtered millions more than terrorists could ever hope to, and
they then have the nerve to call it a Patriot Act? We were scared then and we gave up our rights and now we have set a precedent of doing such things
that I fear the government will not even have the courtesy to ask but will act on their own accord and take them away. The government has become the
great evil of our time and it is our duty to alter or abolish it. The ideal seems radical yet look where the so called mainstream has gotten us to.
They have taken everything they can from the public yet we sit by and let them do it again and again, we let them take our money and given it to auto
companies and banks. They robbed the public to basically take over private companies. They have taken away our right to choose when it comes to our
healthcare yet we just watched on T.V. while they did it I remember watching as the final vote was cast. We all should have marched on Washington that
night we should have fought and fought until they repealed that law and we should still be fighting but we are not. We are just spectators of our own
demise as we just watch our country be taken away piece by piece, inch by inch, but we still do nothing. We are losing the war before we step on the
battlefield because the enemies of free man sitting in their congressional offices know that once they ram their intolerable laws down our throat that
we will accept them, I say no more I say that we should rise up and defend our 9th amendment rights I say that our political system is to great of a
thing to sit by and watch it crumble at the hands of Republicans and Democrats. Both parties have held power for far too long and look what have
become of our nation two wars, a national debt that gets larger by the second, and the destructions of the values and principles of our once great
nation. Both parties are to blame and both should be held accountable for their crimes. We need a revolution in this country, if it be fought at the
polls then so be it, if states must secede then so be it, and if it must be fought on great battlefields then so be it. We must defend our country
from all enemies foreign and domestic and I say that we take up the mantle of our founding fathers and fight the enemies of our nations. This is not a
right vs. left issue this is an issue of those who seek to take away the future and prosperity of this country for selfish means and those who believe
that these ideals and principles are worth fighting for so ask you to have common sense like those who fought a revolution over 200 years ago common
sense enough to fight one now.
