As Congress moves ahead with a huge new defense bill, lawmakers are making only modest changes in the Pentagon's plans to spend well over $1 trillion in the next decade on an arsenal of futuristic planes, ships and weapons with little direct connection to the Iraq war or the global war on terrorism.

$1 trillion for a decade is ONLY $100 billion a year!!!

I could see where this is headed think about this. Congress aproves huge budget for weapons. Next will be seeing the most advanced exotic weapons. They will be revealing what they have been working on.

only????only??? We will see is this just "only" in about 20 years.Comanche,Star wars,abrams etc - these all "cold war" projects.All the things US scientists working on now will be ready in next 20 years.I suppose that at that time US military will be invicious.
