first of all, it's aluminum foil, not tin foil. Tin foil has been taken off the market

www.walmart.com...

Secondly, the only people that ever talk about wearing tin foil hats are people who have no real grasp of reality and pretend it's some kind of funny joke. Someone who is seriously interested in political corruption or military black ops does not go around wearing aluminum foil on their heads. Rather crazy looking people like this wear aluminum foil, mostly as a joke:

Notice the plethora of 'gadgets' in front of the man, as if he is some sort of brainiac genius who knows the secret power of tin foil (not realizing it's actually aluminum foil). And notice the people in the background laughing and with smiles on their face. It's a common tactic whenever someone mentions conspiracies to bring up this guy and make any skeptic of the government look like some freakshow who is afraid aliens will invade their brains.

Surprisingly there are intelligent people who have strongly believed that tinfoil hats provide protection from invasive "mind reading" or "mind altering" technology. The canonical example is electrical engineer Paul Bennewitz.

To give an example of how seriously Mr. Bennewitz believed this, according to notes from psychologist Dr. Leo Sprinkle,

Paul had talked to [Myra Hansen] and he wanted us to be enclosed in a car with tinfoil on the ceiling thinking that the E. T.s would be monitoring us during the hypnosis sessions. So, we put up with rather strange conditions. And yet, she handled it very well.

I always found it a little bit surprising that as an electrical engineer Mr. Bennewitz didn't do his own tests to confirm whether or not the aluminum foil did all he believed it could. It doesn't take a lot of advanced equipment ( berkeley.intel-research.net... ) to figure out what frequency bands reflect or amplify an incoming waveform – sad story really.

I do not have a foil hat, but I do keep my US passport ID card in the aluminum foil envelope that came with the card
to prevent authorities or others from scanning the RFID feature of my ID card without my knowledge.

When I was younger around 95 or 96 I started really getting in to reading about Aliens and UFOS on the internets. Through this I honestly believed everything I read on line about them, to include the fact that Tin-Foil was an effective way to prevent them from reading your mind or abducting you. Following this train of thought since I already wore ball caps, I lined the interior of the hat with aluminum foil (as has been pointed out earlier). Eventually I came to realize that shockingly, not everything you read on the internet is true (which is something that some on ATS need to be reminded on occasion) so I removed the aluminum foil. Course I don't know if it ever worked or not. I do still have some with me in the car just in case. You never know

I wore a metal mesh hat for years for sleep and meditation.
The thing is, the microwave from base towers or cell towers makes it impossible to reach decent delta sleep which is needed for your regeneration.
It is not quite like a Faraday cage but closest to it in home apparel.
So: if you live near cell towers you may consider this. In 2006 a wifi base was ereceted on top of the building next to mine. I started to have insomnia. After some months I found out and covered tha paórt of the house with wire mesh (with small anough hols so that the type of ELF won't get through. I slept much peacefully.
Time to time I thought maybe this was my paranoia but it is not that, it is simply hypersensitivity developed as I used to live near radio towers broadcasting to US Navy all over the world. After a while not only I desired more drinks and was slightly unbalanced but flowaties started to appear in front of my eyes by the hundreds. I still can't see straight due to that but it stopped as I moved out of the Norfolk Va area.
So laugh as you may will, tinfoil hats do have a use in out blue fog society. Yes simple aluminum foil works to some extent. I covered the wallés now and I do not have to use my hat.
I have nothing against "alien spirits" as long as they are properly introduce themselves. In fact, this kind of protection never chased that awaym eventually I had to start talking to them as my Guides suggested.
All in all, metal hats - like old German Army combat hats are wonderful for relaxation, try them.
