Body of Text by one half of the Time Monks George Ure from the Web Bot project.
This is from todays column at
www.urbansurvival.com...
regarding his involvement with
www.thechronicleproject.org...
and his views on the work, which is showing to be the exposure of one of the oldest conspiracy theories we know. Who screwed with the bible translation, why and what does it really say.

Body text: Today is, incidentally, "St. Jerome Day", the patron saint of translators, according to the liturgical calendar.
Which was just strange enough to send me scampering to Wikipedia where the back story on his being the patron saint of 'translators' jumps out at me:
Jerome (c. 347 – 30 September 420) (formerly Saint Hierom) (Latin: Eusebius Sophronius Hieronymus; Greek: Εὐσέβιος Σωφρόνιος Ἱερώνυμος) was an Illyrian Christian priest [1] and apologist. He was the son of Eusebius, of the city of Stridon, which was on the border of Dalmatia and Pannonia. He is best known for his translation of the Bible into Latin (the Vulgate), and his list of writings is extensive.
All of which is all the more personally meaningful because I've spent a little time getting to know (and perhaps offering an idea or two, here and there) to the efforts of The Chronicle Project ( www.thechronicleproject.org... ) which is in the process of re-translating the Bible using something called Self-Defining Hebrew (SDH) which you can read about on their web site if you're interested.

The whole premise of their work boils down to a couple of real stimple concepts: The first is that Hebrew had built into it (at the get-go) a system of 'error-correction' which helps to keep the texts pure down through generations. Not that serious efforts weren't made in that regard anyway, since there was usual one translator translating, one translator doing the writing of the translation and a third making sure the first two didn't screw up.

But, where things seem to have gone off the rails by a country mile, or two, is in losing the essence of what was once a 'verb language' and developing instead of single verb/action concepts installing (in latter day translations) up to dozens of different meanings for different character sets which seem (at least under SDH) to resolve down to single meanings. Books like "Strong's Concordance" as the work progressing seems to show, may be part of a systematic reinterpretation of what was originally there and installing 'definitions of convenience'.

That's because (when SDH is applied) the 10 Commandments turn out to be 11 instead. And, the prohibition in modern interpretations of things like "Thou shalt not kill" (sometimes "Thou shalt not slay") turn out to say something more like - and I'll do a poor job of paraphrasing here - "You shouldn't turn your back on a member of community who needs your help/support/sustenance".

Oh, there's also no mention of they neighbor in there, either. The 'retooling of what's there in ancient Aramaic and Hebrew, seems to been deliberate and inspired by an agenda of some kind that wasn't in the original texts.

For me, this is a pretty doggone interesting project to be aware of and when things involving translation and language comes up, and a big coincidence plops down in the middle of what goes on in my life around the edges, it could be a meaningful coincidence.

Or, if could just be George tilting at windmills again. Experience suggests that most people don't want to question centuries-old translations even if some of them are pretty clearly made-up to suit a socioeconomic agenda from an earlier time. Or, as the case may be, to continue a socioeconomic business model, much of which may be based on previous mistranslations.

I'm always amazed at the number of people who haven't read the history of such events as the First Council of Nicaea, 325, or the Second Council which met in 787. Even fewer are the number of people I've met who have put serious study into what was "handed down" from Aramaic and Hebrew source documents, and how much was 'enacted' at what a really inquisitive mind might take as an ancient version of Congress, except deciding matters of Faith instead of matters of Law.

Not that there'd be anything but purest of intents, in either case, of course... But then there's the First Council of Constantinople in 360...

We'll award bonus points when you find the [purported] meetings at which reincarnation (and other key spiritual possibilities) was (voted/) written out of existence... But with that, I'll just shut the hell up since no one seems to agree on any of this subject area.
---
Think of it as histories slowest moving investigative reporting story. Besides, Thursday's headline was only a 'coincidence', right?

George actually also started www.nationaldreamcenter.com...
Which is a weird read all on its self
Thank to you G+C
Keep going guys.

(Sigh)

Just like the "Bible Codes", nothing more than another one of the thousands of distractions which do nothing more than re-inforce the power structure of the religious establishments.

It's really not at all as complicated as that.

1) Jesus said that "John was Elijah" 'raised from the dead'. That is the meaning of what he said irrespective of the logical and other contortions of the Christian religious 'authorities' who would lose millions upon millions of dollars were this Truth to be made known; and,

2) there is only one 'code word' that you really need to know: that the word "heart" is used as a code-word reference to the Revelation of the Memory of Creation and the revelation of the memories of previous lives.

From the Psalms of David: "The fool says in his heart 'There is no God'". (In other words, the fool usually says in his head that there is a God.)

From the Book of Isaiah: "I seal this Revelation in the heart of my disciples."

From the Book of Jeremiah: "Deep within them I will plant My Law, writing it on their hearts."

From the Thanksgiving Hymns of the Dead Sea Scrolls: "Of the Way of Thy heart, [the Jewish religious 'authorities'] say, 'It is not the Way.'" etc. etc. etc.

From the Quran: "Say (O Muhammad, to mankind): Who is an enemy to Gabriel! For he it is who hath revealed (this Scripture) to thy heart by Allah's leave, confirming that which was (revealed) before it, and a guidance and glad tidings to believers" etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

But, of course, one cannot write a book about this in order to become a best-seller because it is much too simple. The book would be no longer than this note. And no one would want to pay for such a book; hence, no one would publish it. And, if anyone ever did publish it, it would be hell to find anyone who would buy something so simple as such a Truth.

Someone else wrote on another thread, that the church is dead because it has traded pleasure for truth. Both have a cost and both a reward. The church is reaping its reward.

Prolly meant traded truth for pleasure.

In any case, not yet it isn't (reaping its reward).

It doesn't seem like they have, but they have already become blind. This is the payment for spurning truth.
This matches the Hebrew book of Matthew translation from the Chronicle Project that says that false teachers in the church claiming to be anointed, will distort the many (majority) with their teachings.
This is not the pope or catholic church, this is ALL church

It doesn't take a hard look to see the massive distortions in teaching even in the last thirty years.

Considering that is Jesus' first sign of the end of days, we should worry

Becoming blind is not in any way a punishment.

Becoming blind is the sin.

The punishment is something else entirely.

Look around you. The religious 'authorities' are always "above the law". The entire religious 'profession' is nothing less than "theft by deception" to the tune of at least millions of dollars a year. And they get away with it. They molest children or they protect those who have molested children--and they are removed to the Vatican rather than prosecuted; or they are 'laicized' rather than prosecuted (as if that is a punishment)...

They can say or do pretty much anything that they want to do; but they are so pathologically worshipped by their witless followers that, no matter how vile their actions, those actions are always at least 'understandable' because, after all, they are "only human"; and everyone else is required to 'forgive', etc. etc. etc.

A politician, for example, is not given that kind of a pass.

I've seen many politicians given that pass, but also many church leaders, scientists and others. The blindness is rampant, and that blindness is the punishment, because it will prevent harvest. Don't feel bad for those who follow liars, when the lies are so obvious.
Jesus said he would be dead three days and three nights. He died friday afternoon, that makes monday morning. You can't feel bad for someone who refuses to do simple math they learned in Grade one. That is a blind person by choice.
What we need to do instead, is to embrace the truth, and blaze a path that those who wish truth may follow.
That is the way

You know, people have to actively seek the truth to receive it. "God" will make sure that the truth is always given to those who actively seek His truth. I am almost to the point that I believe the only ones left capable of being taught the truth are atheist and the like that don't settle for what other men tell them is true. At least they realize that they don't know what's true and seek to find answers. Those in "religion" think they already have all the truth. Too bad it has almost nothing to do with the "real" Ruler of the Supreme Ones!

Not a snowflake's chance in hell.

Remember the "Dead Sea Scrolls Scandal", The Celestine Prophecy, The Bible Codes, The DaVinci Code, or the movie Stigmata?

This is precisely the same kind of schtick; its fundamental purpose being to distract from one fundamental Truth: that the Doctrine of "resurrection" was taught by Isaiah, Daniel, Jesus and Mohammed as a Doctrine of 'Rebirth'.

But it is even worse.

I have already written in this regard to Mr. Ure. (The date of the e-mail was August 1, 2010.)

He was uninterested.

Maybe because he cannot make any money from such information...

Just like the thousands of Jewish and Christian religious 'authorities' I have contacted over the past 34 years.

(And I would not be at all surprised if he were to deny that I ever contacted him.)

I hope these people enjoy their wealth.

Its price is "blood up to the horses' bridles". (Revelations 14:20)

I hope these people enjoy their wealth.

What wealth? Every piece of everything they have done, from the text they have already translated to the exact formula used, is available, FREE, to the public. Where will the wealth come from? They are not claiming to have some "secret formula" they will sell you. Have you really even checked this out, or are you just posting uninformed bias?

I will agree with you on one point, however. The "religious authorities" are only interested in the money. The truth has no bearing on their agenda.

Apparently, you haven't read it, or you are reading something differently than I am. I can't see how this work interferes with the resurrection at all. I KNOW that Yeshua died and was resurrected. I fail to see how the Chronicle Project makes any difference to that. You will have to plainly explain to me how this negates the resurrection.

And I cannot imagine how the davinci code, stigmata, or any other work of fiction has any bearing on this, either. Makes no sense to me. Those were stupid fantasies of men looking to make a buck. Anyone who takes those seriously deserves to be misled, much like followers of Ron L. Hubbard.

Christianity is a "stupid (and blood-thirsty) fantasy of men looking to make a buck".

And they have made billions of "bucks" over the past several hundreds of years.

Anyone who takes those seriously deserves to be misled...

And I would say that that statement is a blood-thirsty statement, fully befitting a Christian--that is, a follower of Paul the Pharisee and murderer.

People do not "deserve to be misled".

That sounds like the 'justification' of the thousands of religious 'authorities' I have contacted over the past 34 years in 'explanation' of why they cannot tell them the Truth about the Doctrine of "resurrection" being a Doctrine of 'Rebirth'.

That is, they do not deserve to be told the Truth.

Only the Creator Himself can determine that.

I spoke to a couple of guys (names withheld) who wrote and offered the guys at the chronicle project a donation. One offered a sizable one. Nothing unusual, sites ask for it all the time.

The response from the chronicle was, thank you, but they didn't accept money, so that no one would think they were doing this for that purpose.
They said this research was for everyone and no one had the right to make money off of it.
You can distribute their stuff for free, but may charge for your costs, such as paper disks, etc.

Man, they are such money grubbing heathen!!!

If this is legitimate then this is something I'm going to look into. I haven't ever had a 100% trust in what religious text say just because they have been passed down and rewritten by mankind. If they have a way of re-translating the bible to it's former self then I would like to see what it says.

Of course I will research how they are accomplishing this and not buy it hook, line and sinker. We'll see.

The problem is most people think this is a translation.
ITS NOT
Its the discovery of a self embedded system which makes sure that the definition is carried in the word.
So one definition, one word, meaning that no one can ever again tell you it means something its not.
Hope that clears that up
