The Telegraph reports:

I predicted this morning that No Pressure – Richard Curtis’s spectacularly ill-judged eco-propaganda movie for the 10:10 campaign – would prove a disastrous own goal for the green movement.

But what I could never have imagined was how quickly public disgust – even among greenies – would reach such a pitch that the campaigners would be compelled to withdraw it from the internet.

That, at any rate, is what they keep trying to do – cancelling it whenever it appears on You Tube, pulling it from their campaign website and so on.

Unfortunately their efforts are being frustrated by people on the sceptical side of the climate debate, who keep peskily insisting on reposting the video where everyone can view it. And rightly so. With No Pressure, the environmental movement has revealed the snarling, wicked, homicidal misanthropy beneath its cloak of gentle, bunny-hugging righteousness.

It wasn't even like it was some kind of a spoof piece.

It was just bunch of people getting violently killed who didn't comply with the fascist agenda of austerity and corporate cronyism.

Hmm, sounds to me as if some people have a disconnection between fantasy and reality. You do know that the video is fake right?

I am sure that mnemeth1 and endisnighe completely believe this actually happened. But I would be surprised if the rest of you actually think they killed the two children with explosives for a commercial.

I agree that video is childish, innapropiate, and not very funny, considering a professional comedian wrote it. But that doesnt mean that the whole 10:10 campaign and its point (decreasing emissions) is wrong or unneeded and all of them are "eco-fascists". Lets not condemn the entire initiative for one unfortunate PR mistake. I am sure noone of them would really blow up a child or breach human rights of other persons to promote climate change awareness or decrease CO2. They just wanted to catch people attention in our overcrowded media space with shocking video, in good intent of spreading awareness about a global problem, and failed to realize they may have gone too far.. But hey, how many of you learned about this campaign from controversy this video caused? Even negative PR is PR

That is true.

However, I believe it shows a very real thought process by many (not all) eco-Nazis. That that thought process is you are either with us or against us.

Actually, the video makes me want to increase my carbon for every 10 the decrease just because of that. It is only a matter of time before solent green become reality. Of course, this will simply be for the benefit of mankind. Who gets to decide who dies again?
