About first contact with ET's--Earth is sending radio and TV waves out into space constantly...wouldn't a superior species be able to pick those up and therefore get an idea of what to expect humans to be like? all hypothetical of course as anything to do with aliens is, but just saying...

Damn good point Chamberf. And since there are also "theoretical" ways for messages to travel through time, it is also hypothetically possible that our messages could have been recieved or relayed by artificial or natural means backwards in time, but I could be wrong, physics and math are not my expertise and I trust other people who are accredited experts and their opinions on this. However, Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman has said we were attempting to send signals back in time, ... which could also mean the same thing as we are currently attempting to listen to messages from our future.

Mindboggling stuff, but if we consider space travel and relative speeds, space travel could be considered time travel by some standards, I think.

We have been announcing our presence for awhile now, we may eventually be heard, or perhaps we were heard prior to our existence, hypothetically of course.

At some point in our future have we already learned how to have influences and effect our own history?
Can effect precede cause?

Intriguing stuff, that I am comfortable giving some thought to.

Listening to the last moments of ATS Live, outstanding show. Great from start to finish, entertaining, enjoyable, I managed to learn a few things , which is always productive, and the show was hilarious.

Listening to the Rewinds the Chemistry you guys and gals have developed over the last 6 months is phenomenal. I hope to be listening to this show and see what it develops into in the years to come.
