ATLANTA -- Federal agents were out in force again on Thursday searching truck after truck along Interstate 20. Channel 2 Action News reporter Mark Winne was with the agents, getting answers on what’s behind the second major operation this week. The counterterrorism operation took place along I-20 Thursday morning and into the afternoon. Winne asked Jon Allen with the TSA if the operation was primarily a counterterrorism operation. “The focus is certainly to try to prevent any type of activity that anybody may have to disrupt transportation

I'm sure I've probably missed previous threads/posts about this story so, I ask? What is your take on things? Is this a story with a bit of meat and lack of coverage or, something less sinister?

This is total conditioning and the news story attached to the OP is pure programming at its finest. It is OBVIOUS. If you did not check out the video clip, there is an interview with a truck driver being asked what he thinks. His response? "I feel like it is alright. We need something to protect us after 9/11"

If this was not so sad cause people will actually believe this, it would be laughable.

Dang I almost forgot I posted this thread.

I sat in the weight station for 45 mins. this morning for them to check out my new tractor I hauled from Oxford Al.
I asked a paulding county sheriff what the deal was. He told me just routine checks and he asked me were I was going I told him home he looked funny at me and asked me to step out I asked on what grounds he replayed to search your truck. I asked for what? he replayed guns and drugs I told him I had a gun in the truck a Hi point 995
he put his hands on his side arm and freaked out when I smiled at him. It was a tense few mins. when the TSA came a running but turned out all right cheeked my ID an ran that big ass scanner over my tractor. I didnt wind up in no FEMA death camp but there is always next week

I remember before there was an Interstate 20. And before there was an Interstate 95.

As long as those and other interstate highways have been around there have been stops and searches.

This is nothing new.

At one time the "authorities" would announce with a sign on side of the road that there was a road block after the next off ramp.

Well that was a duh thing when people with drugs or other illegal cargo would take that exit.

BAM you are caught coming off the ramp. Watch out for that trick.

I-95 and I-20 are drug, illegal alien, and whatever else is illegal thoroughfares.

I almost forgot the human trafficking on the interstates. Children and young women are prime money makers being transported on our coast to coast and our south to north interstates.

Being a Georgia boy I'm sure you know the Interstate highways are the Dixie Mafia's favorite roads.

This is nothing new just getting more sophisticated equipment to save time checking cargo on the big trucks.

I like the old country roads better.
