Considering China's recent high profile UFO activity, this short interview is an excellent piece of uplifting information concerning the Chinese' scientific approach to the study of UFOs.

Nothing new or particularly scientific here.
His reference to Nick Pope isn't too confidence inspiring.
As for a "network of amateur astronomers" the US has had that for many decades.
So, he can be the Stanton Friedman of China. woo woo.
China is eager to hype itself a leader in most everything.Simply Nationalist propaganda.
Basically this guy says nothing new or startling in my opinion.

At present, with plenty of credible, verifiable observation reports, China has entered a quantitative analysis stage of study.

Well, if they have that large an amount to be working with that they feel it sufficient to study, then let's hope that they'll produce some real results.

It seems that they are more than willing to employ the vast amount of Chinese amateur astronomers to aid them in this endeavour, and doesn't that make perfect sense? To utilise the public instead of keeping them in the dark?

Kind of like your response here, eh? "Nothing new or particularly scientific here."

Please cite where there is another official government sponsored and endorsed scientific observatory heading up a network of amateur astronomers that contribute information for the purpose of an official UFO study.

Please also cite specifically where Nick Pope has shattered your confidence.

Please cite the factual sources for your claim that "China is eager to hype itself a leader in most everything." and that this is all "Simply Nationalist propaganda."

also, one last thing, please provide credentials when in effect your opinion is anything other than, well, just another pseudo skeptical and egotistical OPINION.

Uh huh.
Of course it's my opinion.
I'm not on a witness stand here. I feel not obligation to answer any question from your terse reply.
Apparently you are angered ( like believers usually are) by my opinion.
I'm not interested in arguing with you AT ALL.
Let's check back in a year or so, and see what results this guy has.
My bet is nothing.

So you readily admit that your response was both needless, and entirely based on your uncredentialed opinion. I have to believe that this is the case as you have offered no substantiation whatsoever to back your claims and off hand remarks.

It's funny that you state: "I'm not interested in arguing with you AT ALL."

And yet how else could your original response be taken as being anything other than an arrogant and non factual beg for an argument?

Personally, I am VERY glad that UFO studies are in FACT being taken in a serious and scientifically legitimate direction.
