Whereas the US Military is armed to the teeth, has billions upon billions spent on it, all the weaponry they could ask for and still can't defeat an insurgency in two countries that are lightly armed in comparison.

At least the UK Military had it's excuses for it's shortcomings in capability.

Britain didn't lose, they went home for good reasons. America went to Iraq for bad reasons. But i think its safe to say we won.

As an American firefighter and enlisted member of the USAF who spent more than 3 years deployed to warzones, I would like to just say that the British have some of the greatest military members I have ever had the privilege of serving with. Most were very skilled and highly intelligent, others were flat out crazy, and I loved them for it.

As for this war and what the higher ups think....

A dumbass colonel once said to me "Crap roles down hill sergeant".

I responded: "Yes Sir, but gravity being what gravity is, we can determine it didn't start down here."

I don't think the colonel cared for my commentary.

thank you Britain,
ET
