Rollo I do not know how to respond to your post but I will try. Educating oneself may not solve the problems in society (hunger, homelessness) but how does being uninformed and angry help.

I did the quiz in the thread that is posted in breaking news.
I am Christian I missed only the last question. I have not heard of the great awakening, and to be honest I do not see how that plays a true role in the teachings of any faith. Regardless, I missed the last question.

I hit the others without issue I only had to barely dig into my memory to recall one of them. As usual though I see this sort of thing is turning into a bash the Christians sort of thing, have fun with that.

I am curious though about the nothing in particular group. Who are they?

In addition, I would like to point out what another poster already did. Many in the U.S. call themselves Christian. Many of those same people do not even attend any form of gathering for teachings nor do they even attempt to lead a life as a follower of Christ. That is not to say that Christians do not screw up and make mistakes all do, sin is the nature of mankind. The difference is knowing you have sinned and searching to better yourself, and asking forgiveness for that sin.

Most people who call themselves Christian today in the U.S. are only saying that because that was the religious choice of their family, not because they participate in the faith themselves.

The nothing in particular group might be those who believe all roads lead to god. This thread was not intended as a christian bashing thread, I just put the survey out there. People who come out of christianity have a special dislike for it, I do.

I took the test and recieved an 87% or 13/15.

This coming from a guy who has been to church only a few times when he was very young, never read a religious book and does not believe in religion or god.

Religious people don't even know their own religions. How funny.

Wow, great statement!! I'm feelin' ya 100% on that note. Ironically, it's not the religion itself, but a HUGE majority of those who claim it as their own! I have yet to meet a "Christian" who is not a blatent hippocrite (spelling?), but I'm only 34 and have only lived in two states, so I'm not saying they don't exist! Just sayin'!

Oh, I was not saying the thread was designed to bash Christians just that there are the bashers that are drawn to this thread for only that reason. Sorry if I caused confusion, sometimes I am not stating things as clearly as I should.

I understand the nothing in particular if that is the case though. They are called universalists from my understanding. Oprah also believes something along that line as well from a video I have seen.

Often times Christians will be against a sin that plagues them most. Some live without a second thought in that sin, some fall into that sin from time to time, others simply fight with the thoughts of that sin that troubles them most.

In my opinion that does not make each of those choices a hypocrite more so it makes them human. The one that lives without issue in their sin while preaching against it though could fall into the line of hypocrisy. The others are simply on a journey to being a better Christian. The only sin free man was Christ. No matter who calls themselves a Christian they still sin, that is where the asking of forgiveness and trying to change our person comes into play.

educating one self with useless info of zero intrinsic value...for no other benefit than to appease your views on my intelligence...
well ok...
dam I should seen that from the start...now I must hasten myself to the nearest library to read about Scientology, KKK, ummm little green men in flying cigars, the US justice system (not my country to start with but what the hey), what else, the Vatican and the dogma and heinous control and manipulation of the catholic church, ummm, catch up on the latest Hollywood gossip, read the Big Mac nutritional info on wrapper..learn all about paper mache...learn trigonometry, DIY open heart surgery, and ancient military tactics from the US civil war, .
Plus I am sure there is a mountain loads of other useless stuff educate myself with to satisfy you and others on my valididity.

I doubt you will see my point thru your plank and ego though...you can't be wrong now could you...
Sorry to interupt...please now return to regularly scheduled bashing and stereo typing.

The very reason i am no longer a christian is because I educated my on what is was to be christian. After reading the bible from cover to cover i realized it was a collection of man made fairy tails and outright deceptions, I was no longer a believer, how could I be.
