Not sure if such a thread has been opened, but i was sitting back and enjoying what limited free time I and everyone does have and on occasions i have found myself drifting from game to game as there are some very impressive games out there to say the least.

My title thread is obvious enough, so how about it ?

What games are you suggesting for an ATS clan?

There's probably only a few viable ones

True, well i guess that would depend on how many people actually reply to this, lets see what happens. I am open to any suggestions. Obviously i am no world of warcraft fan, infact i despise that game.

Once I get off this netbook and back onto a gaming computer, I'd wholeheartedly devote myself to a fun filled round of Team Fortress 2 with my fellow ATS oddballs.

I thought about doing this with Star Trek Online I already have a fleet made, and it is empty...Maybe I will re-do the "back story" for the fleet, and make it an ATS themed one.

Assuming anyone here plays and wants to play.

Either way, I agree. Anything to bring us together is +1

(Also, by "clan" I am assuming the OP is talking about "World of Warcraft"...I could be mistaken, I have never played that one.)

I can just begin to imagine the conversations going on via vent or teamspeak during a game...

i myself as posted earlier, despise World of Warcraft, i simply cannot put my cerebral cortex through that torture. On the other hand, most fps games i do greatly enjoy and have found myself playing in some competitions. I know it sounds odd coming from me, but hey, occasionally we all must take a breath of fresh air and enjoy life as it is so limited...time wise.

I'm sorry
You caught me not reading the entire thread before posting (A rare occurrence!) (You decide which is rare, me not reading a whole thread, or getting caught
)

I have not played an FPS since "Duke Nukem 3d" And even that one I would play in 3rd person mode

Oh, the only reason I have not played an FPS in so long. "I don't know." I guess I have not thought about it.

So, I do like FPS, though I prefer TPPS (Third Person Person Shooter)

WOW! I have never even heard of this one! Too bad my gaming addiction time is allotted to STO or I would jump in for a test, for sure!

For "skimmers" of the thread, check out that link! Especially if you are looking for a game to play, that one looks pretty tasty (IMO of course)

Normally when people wow, its because they see my avatar

Beware the screenshos on the website are really outdated, so the graphics are much better now. totally give it a try. theres not much singel player, but the online mapmaking is awesome.

I might have to check it out! Though between my time programming a game(s), and playing Trek...well you get the idea

Could you point me to some more information about it? I will check the site out some more later too, but I am sure there is some wealth of info that players have the inside track on

(Does it have to be played in FPS or is there an option for 3rd person view?)

Yeah you can play in 3rd person, but the wiew is wierd... your head is infront of the crosshairs, so you cant see whats ahead of you i that view.

Basically the only single player is you kill random monsters as theyappear, so thats about it for single player.
the mapmaking is pretty rad as long as you dont get some nuub join your server and destroy everything.

there is like 15 multiplayer game modes. m favorite is regencapture and instactf.

edit on 29-9-2010 by Senz20 because: Hornhum doesnt believe in aliens

No worries, I use it as a "look around" toggle type thing. (If that makes sense)

Either way, sounds interesting. I will put it on my list of "check outs" that is for sure!

I guess a simple question that i overlooked is what o.s. system are you running, that way i can more or less suggest something that might be appealing.

Vista was a beta version of w7, so i guess it would be wise to move into a w7 o.s. apart from it being blistering fast in comparison to vista, its security function are more upto date and have done away with various issues regarding security.
