If aliens invade Earth, what will be the most difficult place they will have a hard time pacifying? For me I would take Afghanistan because that place is considered the graveyard of empires. n history it is known that their many conquerors who tried to hold the area where eventually driven out. Event with if the alien invaders have vastly superior technology it was proven that even those with the best tech will lose (Like the Soviets and the Americans)

Here are some links to back up my theory

In addition people please feel free to name what others places the aliens might have a hard time conquering but explain why

The South, (in USA), no question. More guns per capita then anywhere on the planet and people ready, willing, able and more than happy to use them.

If they invaded I think that they would pacify every part of the planet right away by killing all the humans. All of the RPGs in Afganistan and all of the guns in the American south still can't shoot things that are in space. I don't think anyone has to worry about surviving an alien invasion.

When you say RPGs in Afghanistan please tell that to the British forces that were slaughtered

en.wikipedia.org...

They really don't need to use RPGs. And how can the invading force kill everyone on the planet? If by virus there will be a few survivors that will get immune to it

Really we can just hide under a mountain like what they do in Afghanistan and bunkers in the US and Russia

Depends what they've got to offer. If they come in with cancer cures, free power, spaceflight for all etc people might side and fight with them against TPTB of that area. So then a country with a well armed populace might actually be EASIER to get control of.

It will definitely be the United States, as that is where the majority of conspiracy theorists and gun owners reside. They will be the least accepting of any "official" line from the government, human or other. Add in a healthy dose of Christian fundamentalism and you get the perfect storm for any potential disclosure / contact event.

Europeans will be like, "cool, come have a glass of wine with us".

I just gotta say Texas.
I don't live there, never have, but I have been a guest of that great state.
I work with an uncle of Marcus Luttrell and he can do about anything it takes to live, never mind the fact, he isn't Marcus.
These boys are from the American southwest, cowboy country. And they are just two that I know of. they bred 'em down there to be "that way". I got my stuff stocked up, I will share with friends and neighbors, depending on how bad the initial blow is, but when the whip comes down, I don't stand a chance compared to those guys.

I would have to say Aliens would have the toughest time in Arizona, I believe they have laws there against that type of threat.

The middle-east and some parts of Africa. Technological superiority and lack of support from organized human-government doesn't seem to stop religious fundamentalists/old style warlords. Also, their faith would keep them fighting to the last man/woman/ and child. There's over a billion people throughout the middle-east and Africa. Vast terrains, old-school survival skills and just plain craziness would make them the least likely to give up and the most likely to hide out in caves/thick jungle, as humans have done throughout history.

My initial answer was going to be the American south, but in reality, I think the United States would be the first to crumble. We don't have the the balls to use nuclear weapons and we're such a passive consumerist culture, we'd probably split some deal with Europe to go as a block and try to use our stock piles as a bargaining chip to gain minimal freedoms and comfort. Once our own government sold us out, its doubtful the militias/citizens of the south would be able to resist against both human and alien forces.

South America would be a mixture of the middle east and europe/us. The governments would sell the people out but rougher terrain and more organized militias/drug lords would probably carry on the fight. Asia would probably follow the West's lead.

Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, Virginia, South Carolina. People here display their guns in the back of their truck windows. My neighbor's practice target practice 24 hours/ 7 days a week. It... IS... annoying. Someone at ATS once said there is a gun in America behind every blade of grass. My sister in law who is very heavy and short has a gun in her purse. The Scottish came to America because England wanted to collect all the guns and tell everyone to be Catholic. That's how my ancester's ended up here pre 1776. The above States have alot of Scottish people.
