This is exactly what I was getting at. Too bad several readers on this thread didn't catch that. I completely believe in Extra Terrestrials and that they are already amongst us waiting for approval from our govt. to be revealed to the masses in a way that will not cause hysteria.

I absolutely, unequivocally do NOT believe the aliens would let our people select the ONE person our corrupt leaders deem worthy for communication and all interactions as a representative of the entire planet. That being said, I believe the aliens will select who, but our govt's will tell the masses the UN chose the representative so they appear as the powerful and great Oz who is in control of the situation.

In a way, humanity needs to urgently make contact with an advanced civilization and those in power know this. Look at the state of the Earth, every time we try to achieve something good - we disagree. Whether its climate change, economic and political reform, reconciliation in the Middle East or others, we fall out.

Humans need a role model because, within the first few months after contact, you'll notice how quickly the world will forget its differences and achievements will flourish.

Next year, Virgin Galatic starts private missions (for tourists) in low Earth orbit. Outside the control of NASA and the military. If anyone saw a UFO, or strange objects, their free to tell the world's press. This will lead to more private space missions - outside NASA.

Unless fully fledged disclosure is in full swing by the time the first private space companies hauling tourists starts, i suspect there will be a terrible 'accident' and lots of people on the ground will die.

There will be an inquiry, and it will be decided, that space exploration will be best left to the professional national outfits.

I hope i'm wrong of course.

It makes me sick to think that the UN think they can just muscle on in and claim what is not theirs. When are they going to get it? hu-man beings have no jurastiction in space. You seem to be running some kind of personal vendetta against the bloke.

He's making a bit of cash on the back of ET's...ok, but given that just about everyone and his dog is going on about 'disclosure', including the UN, the Vatican and other influential orgs, it looks like his pioneering work for disclosure is starting to bear fruit.

Personally, i don't mind if the bloke is making a living out of helping to bring the truth to the world.

Unless he has independent financial means to support his family, he has to earn from somewhere, just like everyone else. Difficult to do what he's been doing with disclosure, and work full time somewhere else isn't it?

Besides, if wealthy people want to stump up what i consider to be a lot of cash to go on meditation / contact weekends, that's their affair surely?

I don't see Greer holding a gun to anyone's head and forcing them to go along.

I hear those lying scumbags Bush and Blair are making millions on the after dinner speech circuits, personally, i'd prefer to see people like Greer, who want to bring truth to the masses making the big bucks, rather than people like those two, who only brought corruption and deceit.

At least this news being reported of a new UN post connected to the ET subject, at the very least, shows that the world of officialdom is finally going to stop ridiculing the ET subject, and maybe..just maybe has been influenced in their thinking by people like Greer and what they've been saying for the last 20 years or so.

I have well considered this issue myself. Conclusion: forget about "advanced"; that is not the important aspect. I'd just for once like to see an actual civilization. Just what is possible? Many have given up hope, I feel, and relegated themselves to a dysfunctional system.

I disagree.

Differences won't be forgotten, and they don't need to be for achievements to flourish. In fact, perhaps embracing our differences and acknowledging their existence is a path to great achievement.

I saw this on the news this morning. Man, I've never been so pumped in any other day of my life! It doesn't matter what anybody here says. Please keep me updated on this.

I saw it also. It's about damn time they take this seriously, and it's about time that I actually don't get pissed off when watching this subject on the news because I expect jokes to be cracked.

This is abit weird concidering that the world government already has a group of men already in contact with the extra terrestrials. But a another person than the original ones doesnt matter i guess. The UN were quite explicit, even the British representatives did talk about ET contact on the announcement of this news. May be she didn't get the memo.

Either way, this is heading to the General Assembly to be voted on.
