If ghosts are artifacts of significant or traumatic events then why aren't there "ghosts" or remnant energy left at places left behind by people who are still alive? Surely you can agree that traumatic things happen to people that if they did in fact die it would have created what hollywood calls a haunt. Since they didn't die, its still traumatic and would leave those creepy negative vibes.
