and chat STILL isn't working i don't have skype i am kinda afraid of it my this guy thats like my little bro is in the marines and he wants me to get it because he aint always gonna be here to see me. the last thing i told him is don't let the system corrupt you. And don't EVER say goodbye

Well..appaz rumours are going that the post count has increased.

omg! i only have like 41 posts are you serious you mean to tell me I have like 400 something MORE to go just to chat.

I don't usually participate very much, but I like to have the chat window open to keep me company

nope I am not sure when its going back up but this sucks.

Our current chat solution utilizes a Java server we've installed on one of our machines. A recent security hole has been discovered in the specific type of installation, so until it's either patched or we have found a better solution, chat will be down.

Sorry.

However, I'm reviewing several other alternatives that will not have the same type of accessibility issues for some users as our current (possibly former) chat solution.

Stay tuned.

props for looking out on security skeptic, unfortunatly as any tech savvy will tell you, any system is at risk, its only time that is a factor. fortunatly there are ways to extend this time beyond the known age of the universe xD

Ah nothing like a security vulnerability to run people's fun, for those who don't have it I'm on skype as heligtherestless, add me and hook a brother up with the chat. Hopefully its not blocked at work cause that would make me a very sad panda indeed

What sort of chat solutions are there out there ?

Seems to be an internet feature that needs some attention from the big software companies.

We need a bigger room with more features like snap vote buttons, a wiki/search feature etc.

Just throwing a few ideas out-there.
