Seems to me that everyone pushing against federal big government is for global corporate big government.

International "free trade" agreements create the terms of global corporate government. And compared to national governments, that's REALLY BIG government. A bit of a glaring contradiction, dontcha think?

...Once a "free trade" agreement is signed, the terms become international law.

Sometimes, a nation's existent laws conflict with the 'new' international laws created under "free trade" agreements. When that's the case, there's a nifty little clause designed to fix it...

National governments have to change their federal laws to "harmonize" with the new international trade laws.

...Trade law helps global corporations do business globally - it's about doing business.

Trade law does NOT support, accommodate or respect individual rights and freedoms.

Long story short, our individual rights and freedoms are under attack.

If we don't use our own big government to defend ourselves against corporate big government, we're going to lose everything our forefathers fought and died to defend.

We still have a "democracy," flawed as that may be. So we do still hold the reins, if we chose to take control and use our own government to fight and protect our rights.

If we don't use our power and exert some control over the process, the global corporations will keep their control, take it all and we'll end up back where our grandparents were - except in debt to the corporations instead of the king.

Your screwed either way?

Only if we lie back, don't fight it, think of the queen and keep our mouths shut.

I dont know if you have been taking stock in individual rights..

ATSNN is riddled with stories on how the police beat this guy or kill that guy because of some stupid reason..

Our government really can care less wtf we think or want..

Remember bailouts? remember Stim package? Remember Obamacare?

No matter how we do things we are screwed, and the people who think they wanna do something dont do anything because they have no idea how to mobilize or start something. Aka being wussies.. In this we try to find light at the end of the tunnel..

So we have someone who speaks for us.. Ron Paul? Real person for the Republic of the United States.. As things should be not how they are.. What do they do to him? you get the idea.. if you dont remember Fox asked him this.. "What makes you think you are electable?" Then after that the widespread blackout of Ron Paul..

Dude we have no way out, we either bend over or we bitch and complain, and most of us pick the latter and hope to help someone else does something..

Anyway My thoughts... its how it is, not how i would like it.

Nah. It's not that bad.

The first step is always discussion and engagement. Leads to awareness.

That was in 05.. You dont think you would remember all the things you add to this forum do ya?
The US is says its a democracy which in fact we are supposed to be a republic..
I think the only government that was clean was Caesar I think, he didnt have the fed reserve types running the game he had his own state run how many went and where it went which made Rome a real powerhouse with all the things they built like the coliseum and so on..

But this is only my opinion and you know what they say about them eh?

or steal depending on your point of view. Whatever, you're right.

"If you read on you see he (Maurice Strong) is also letting the public know about the new system the world elite are bringing about. The new global system he wants is already in place and it's upgrades ready to go, it's something that in the last few years has appeared in more Government and influential think-thank papers, as well as speeches by people in high positions of power. That word is Governance; while the word sounds similar to Government and the structure would appear to be the same there is a huge difference in the function and role of governance and Global Governance. It already has and will continue to transform our way of life from having some control over how we live to having everything we say and do regulated and decided by un-elected bureaucrats and civil servants. We have already been in this supposedly new system for a long time but it is only in the last few years' people like Maurice Strong and the mainstream media have decided to let the public know about it."

Interesting.

My take is that the world's nations are trying to stand against the legal takeover and establishment of global corporate government through international trade law.

Which is not to say the UN et al cannot be appropriated and assimilated - but the global corporate coup is happening - and the legal framework already exists as international trade law.

...On the other hand, the UN and similar agencies do NOT have a legal framework and canNOT enforce policy as law.

My take is based in part on the document Global Governance, the only one of 4 that has been released to the public.

From my notes:
* Since mid-1990s, the NIC has produced four editions of its landmark Global Trends report. [2 not cited, secret - from US?]
* 2008 - "Global Trends 2025: A Transformed World" - noted that momentous change was ahead - with the gap between increasing disorder and weakening governance structures widening.
* 2006 - "The New Global Puzzle. What World for the EU in 2025?" - from EUISS, first EU-level report on the factors affecting the evolution of the international system - report stressed that a multipolar system is emerging and that matching the new distribution of power with new rules and institutions will be critical to preserving international peace and stability.

***Global Governance 2025 - result of an inclusive process, enriched by wide-ranging consultations with government officials; as well as business, academic, NGO, and think tank leaders; and media representatives in Brazil, China, India, Japan, Russia, South Africa, and in the Gulf region (the UAE).
* (testifies to) difficulty of reconciling different interests and standpoints when **reforming global governance.**

I hope more people will check it out, say what they think...
