(Reuters Life!) - Former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld will release an autobiography in January that the publisher promises "pulls no punches" from a man who was one of the most ardent proponents of going to war in Iraq.

The publisher also plans to launch a website with thousands of pages of documents to support Rumsfeld's account. Rumsfeld, 78, has said all profits will go to veterans' charities.

"Like Donald Rumsfeld himself, this memoir pulls no punches," said Adrian Zackheim, president and publisher of the Sentinel imprint of Penguin Group.

Could this be mere dis info? the fact that its being backed up online with documents could be further to push this fact. Im sensing this is disinfo to further push the official story to the public and maybe to have public perception change especially with growing interest to get into iran.

hah... it will do nothing but firm up the bush presidency policies and iles.

All high powered politicians want to be remembered in the way THEY want .. not the way history would paint them. I'm sure Rummys book will be interesting, but also suspect. I'd love to read the truth of everything and I'm sure some information will come out in it that isn't generally known. HOWEVER, as with any high powered person on this planet, (0r formerly high powered in his case) we just don't know what is truth and what is him building his legacy. Unless, of course, he provides clear proof to back up his statements. THAT would be interesting!
