Check it out, very interesting article as well.. Apparently there is rumoured to be actual alien artifacts in the area as well....

When I first saw that picture I swore it WAS infact ET.

But upon thinking, All ET sightings, abductions say that they have a Slit for a mouth and a small hole for a nose.
This skull clearly has some teeth including Molars.
