Galloway organizes convoy of 450 vehicles to come by ship to el-Arish Port in Egypt where they hope to be allowed to unload and drive into Gaza.
A large land convoy began making its way on Saturday from around the world to the Gaza Strip.
Vehicles were loaded onto ships and are en-route to the el-Arish Port in Egypt where they hope to be allowed to unload and drive into Gaza. According to press reports, about 450 vehicles are expected to participate in the land convoy which is organized by former British lawmaker George Galloway.
Vehicles are coming from England, Kuwait, Algeria. Tunisia and Morocco. In January, the Egyptians banned Galloway from using their territory for Gaza-bound convoys and accused the former British lawmaker’s organization Viva Palestina of criminal activity.
Galloway, a former British MP and veteran anti-Israel activist, first announced plans for the "Viva Palestina" flotilla in June, shortly after attending the funerals of the Turkish activists killed aboard the Mavi Marmara.

It was held for a day because the Egyptian authorities objected to its carrying some non-medical goods.
On Sunday, there were reports that some Viva Palestina vehicles - which include a fire engine, ambulances and a boat on a trailer - had been pelted with stones and defaced in El-Arish which lies about 40km away from Rafah.
Vehicles had been daubed by anti-Hamas slogans, said British broadcaster Yvonne Ridley, who is one of the organisers. Egyptian border officials said 10 Libyan trucks carrying medicine were allowed to transfer their aid to Gaza on Sunday..

I think your a bit misinformed. Egypt has it's own border with Gaza that is free of Israeli interference and has for years.
Egypt closes it's border crossing for various reasons, especially when their soldiers are killed in shootouts with Hamas militants. Vent all you want at the Israelis but Egypt has and has had a lifeline to Gaza.
Read some articles from the last couple of years.

Shipments have been intercepted from Galloway already, they were going straight to Hamas and they were loaded with brand new Russian arms, anti-tank weapons and rockets.

See, wonder how many trucks are carrying weapons? I hope Israel bombs the convoy if Egypt allows it and then Israel cant search every truck. This is how Iran will sneak a dirty bomb into Israel and everyone knows it. Israel cant take the chance.
Four months after being injured on board the Mavi Marmara ship, one of the participants of late May's Gaza-bound flotilla on Saturday joined what organizers are calling "the largest flotilla yet."
Kevin Ovenden set sail from Britain Saturday morning along with 30 other activists on a voyage they dubbed "Viva Palestina." Their goal is to reach the Gaza Strip through Rafah Crossing – after docking in Egypt's el-Arish Port at the northern Sinai Peninsula.
At the same time, activists from Qatar and Morocco are making last arrangements before heading for Syria and joining the locals en route to the Gaza Strip.
"Our mission last time was to take aid in and to highlight the siege," Ovenden told CNN. "That's our mission this time."
Ovenden also denied claims that activists aboard the Mavi Marmara carried weapons that were used against the soldiers during the raid.
"I witnessed the man one meter in front of me being shot in the leg, a man 50 centimeters to the right of me being shot through the abdomen," Ovenden said of the experience.
"Neither of them had anything in their hands. There were no Israeli commandos within the immediate proximity. They were shot from above, so it was simply unfeasible -- in that incident I saw – for anyone to claim they were in fearing for their lives when they rang out those shots," he added.
The Libyan Civil Mission to Support the Palestinian People has announced that it will send an aid flotilla to the Gaza Strip, according to a Palestine Telegraph report on Tuesday.
The flotilla will hold the title of "Jerusalem 5," the report claimed, and was announced in conjunction with the launch of the British aid convoy "Lifeline" which will be led by British MP George Galloway heading to Gaza early in October.
According to the report, the flotilla will be launched from Britain and head to Gaza through Latakia and Tripoli, Liyban site "Libya 24" quoted bin Othman as saying.
Othman stressed that the flotilla will be coordinated with the concerned authorities of the British convoy and the British Association, the report said.
Members of the convoy are set to include many Arab and North African parliamentary characters, Othman said according to the report.
The report suggested that the aid flotillas would start to arrive from Europe and North Africa in Libya on October 10. The flotillas are set to continue to arrive until October 15 and then head to Gaza two days later.
