I disagree with you but...

I disagree with you but I don't believe you are Hitler.

This statement brought up on the daily show is a very powerful one. We should all take this into consideration when arguing politics. Sure, you may not like Bushs' policies but you don't know him to know if you hate him as a person, same goes with Obama and everyone else.

Calling someone Hitler, or Satan or anything like that is distracting the real political debates and making both sides more and more angry.

If we (many of us including myself are guilty of making statements like this) can stop it we can make the USA politics less mad.

We need to restore sanity into politics and debates!!!

Exactly, the suggestion totally goes with ATS ideals too. Defy ignorance!

I believe that one of the reasons many of us are guilty of this is because political issues can invoke many emotions; especially with topics like abortion, education and so on, so we let are emotional thinking take over above our logical thinking.
