New Spat over Diaoyu Islands between China and Japan

The Japan Coast Guard began questioning the captain of a Chinese fishing vessel on a southern Japanese island after arresting him early Wednesday on suspicion of obstructing public duties in connection with collisions with Coast Guard patrol boats near the disputed Diaoyu islands (or the Japanese-termed Senkaku Islands) in the East China Sea.
