The above article is an excellent example on how feminism has collectively destroyed the male and female relationship. I will try to go into some detail as to why using key points from the article.

Feminism brainwashed young women to see husbands as oppressors and family as bondage. There was no longer any reason to restrict sex to love and marriage.

Therefore in the feminist perception, is that men have power over their wives and that the bond of marriage is a commitment that robs them of their freedom and independence in their lives.

A woman's career used to be wife and mother. She consecrated her sexuality for the man she loved, the father of her children, her protector and provider.

Women today are more focused on college and careers that if the right man walked into their life, they would easily brush him aside in pursuit of their own interests in financial support, in an attempt to sustain her perception of freedom and independence in life and from men.

In the past, men had to prove their love and commitment before they could have sex. As a result, women were cherished and given a lifelong role (mother, wife) that satisfied their deepest emotional needs.

Women also have constant fears fabricated from media and entertainment that all men are pigs, secretly rapists, and sexual opportunists. Not that men like that don’t exist but the large majority of men want a true relationship and a prosperous life with women that arouses their intellect as well as their loins.

Men also have their own fabricated fears, from the same sources, in which they believe marriage is a setup for them to lose all of their assets to a failed marriage; thus the same with children, as it poses a risk to their income. Factors in which men all collectively have in their overall perception of marriage instead of its true meaning. These key perspectives contribute to which both men and women consequently destroy or severely hinder healthy, productive relations between eachother. Fabricated fears induced from mainstream media, movies and television propagating to achieve a broader agenda. Desecration of marriage, moral ethics, and the traditional family.

Women wonder why average men have a lacking respect for women in America; and men wondering why relations with sluts are a waste of time; in which seem to consequently prove their overall fabricated perceptions, when real, loving, caring, self respecting women would not allow such disrespect through casual sex and acts thereof.
In conclusion, men and women need to start free thinking for themselves by not believing and conforming to the fabricated fears of media and pop culture. Men and women need to start assessing their own situations and interactions with eachother instead of acting on fears that were instilled by their peers.

The main causes marriages in America are declining and failing is that many of them are purely based in sex and materalistic, judgemental impulses.

'With the breakdown of the family, peer culture, which includes popu culture, has gotten stronger. Nothing could be more anti-marriage than much of the popular culture."

Why would a Liberal sociologist like Popenoe be worried by severely declining marriages in this country? He has studied case histories of dozens of cultures throughout the world in his academic pursuits, and knows that no country can survive without the core unit called the family.

Well, let the record state that I would be proud to be a trophy wife. I'd love nothing more than to sit in my lovely house, cook, and clean on occasion. I'd love to never have to work a day in my life and be nothing but arm candy. Sounds like THE life.

The problem here is that feminism, instead of changing relationships between men and women, sought to destroy the relationship between men and women.

I think it would be very hard to find a more anti-feminine movement than the feminists. It is as if we made the notions of femininity subject to the whims of a group of misogynists.

They freed women to find jobs in the workplace but, now the world demands that women go to work. How is this freedom if you have no choice. The feminist movement has made it so that a woman cannot take it for granted that she will be able to spend time with her children as she will be forced to give 8 (at least) hours of her time to company instead of to her children.

She cannot even take marriage for granted; thanks to the feminists and their "equality" the marriage can be broken at the mere whim of one party. Women may feel that this is freedom because they have equal right to break the contract but, the burden of divorce falls disproportionately on women, especially the ones with children.

And now women are free to use their bodies to titillate men through pornography or pole dancing. Of course this only degrades the role women in the minds of men by turning them into mere sex objects. The sexual freedom "won" by women is used by men to justify jumping from bed to bed with no commitment. How should men feel bad for doing this when women are free to do the same? Who cares that most women seek more of an emotional connection for their satisfaction? They can settle for physical satisfaction now just like the guys they have envied for so long.

In becoming the equals with men, women have, for the most part, had to give up all of the things that made them women in the first place.

Im a guy, but like MeSoCorny, id love to chill at home and look after the kids and not have to work ... I have never worked out for the life of me why anyone would rebel against that. Feminism just seems to cherry pick every thing they want and reject any concept they don't like.

When was the last time anyone went out on a date and had the women offer to pay for the dinner ?

How many time have you been asked by a female co worker to lift something for them or do other things that women "cant do" ?

I also agree that they have almost ruined the term relationship.

How is it offensive? You dont have to agree with it of course but denying that women dont have the natural instincts to love, nourish, and care for their mate and children is not logical. Men, most real men, have a natural instinct to provide, protect, and love, in return for the main qualities in which women naturally want to give.

Feminism undermines these natural qualities and instincts in exchange for power and control which undermines the male's role in life; therefore the relationship suffers. Collectively turning men and women against eachother by competition. Ever heard that ol' song by Little Annie? "I can do anything that you can do, better!"

I'd love to be able to do nothing. Isn't that everyone's life goal? Do as little as possible and be happy doing it? Come on.

I like the old tradition of a man being a man and a woman being a woman. I'll clean and cook if he goes and does the work then comes home and we make sweet sweet love down by the fire. No problem there.

Yes, we do need to be civil and mature about the topic, however, joking and goofing is ok once in awhile so, try not to be too serious and cynical.

But I will have to agree that Makow can sometimes be off base and in which I dont always agree with every statement Mr Makow makes in some of his articles, but the overall message of the article is what I think is relevent and I did so by picking certain talking points and key factors in the article that present the overall point I'm trying to make.

If some of his article's wording and personal opinions offend I do apologize however they are not my words and do try not to associate his personal opinion with mine. Just the overall message.

It is not as much feminism, though that is a big share. It is how it has been twisted. The main thing is the all American woman. Sorry but I have found that 99% of my countrywomen that seem to be the most brainwashed freaks.

The funny thing is that most of my life I did not think I would ever like foreign women, that is before I was to to get to know a foreign woman. I have never met one I didn't like. Soleprobe has correctly pointed out that according to Aaron Russo, Feminism was created by the Rockefeller Foundation and funded in part directly from the CIA. Russo maintains that Nick Rockefeller told him this personally and the reason that Feminism was introduced was:

half the population was not being taxed, encouraging women to work increased tax revenues and
the children were put into state establishments at an earlier age so the process of indoctrination could begin sooner.

What a lot of persons that attempt to attack feminism as a singular movement fail to realise is that there's more in fighting than agreement in such movements.

How you can write something 'against' feminism with anything less than a 15, 000 to 35, 000 word document is somewhat beyond me. Feminists as a whole have no idea how to handle sex nevermind anyone else. How can you handle such a complex issue with a reference list as descriptive as a cereal box cover? You can't.

Will also say that people being offended that women have a sexuality should just realise that they've had a sexuality for the last few thousand years ... it just wasn't that popular to promote it.

I would like to pose this question: "How are women disrespected?"

If I act like a pig they flock to me. A couple underhanded compliments and the dresses come off. How can I be expected, as a male, to give respect when it isn't due? If these women wanted to be more than one night stands surely they would respect themselves more...

I had to learn to act this way and women taught me how. After my marriage of 5 years, ended due to my partners sexual indiscretion, I went and jumped back into the dating game. What I learned was that everyone is too busy with their own lives to have to spend any meaningful amount of time thinking about someone else.

Do I want meaningless sexual interludes? No. The break in the loneliness and the 4 hours I get to pretend some one cares is nice sometimes though. Honestly I'd prefer monogamy, but finding a woman that wants the same thing on equal terms is beyond difficult.

I do believe that this is a byproduct of the feminist movement. I don't believe that this is true feminism, though. I have a desire for a monogamous and long term relationship, but I've yet to see that level of commitment reciprocated. In my attempts to get what I want I've been left homeless in the past, had a child aborted with out any discussion, and my dog put down while I was at work. The women of ATS will have to forgive me for not yet knowing how to date with the intention of a life long relationship with out losing everything in the process.

The whole ordeal leaves me wary not bitter... Anyway, just throwing out a young man's perspective.
