Are the elites even trying the fact that they're manipulating the masses now?

This stuff about the pastor is driving me insane. Okay, not literally insane. But I cannot honestly believe that all these people in the media would be just doing it if they just wanted to cover them. The people in the corporate media structure are revealing themselves now and no one's noticing it. They are showing that they want people to be against one another, that, by placing someone who is xeonphobic as a super-villain that somehow that is representative of all that is going on. They don't care that giving this guy attention will provoke several masses of people in other countries to be outraged over it. All they care about is ratings.

Are these people even trying to hide the fact that they want to push certain agendas, and for the most part that they only care about rating and covering crazy people anymore? It's honestly like that's all they care about.

People love scandals, controversy and conflict.
Most American know little about American law or government, they ( including ATS) are mostly knee jerkers that react to events like ping pong balls.
That's what the media thrives on.
Money. Media is responding to what gives them ratings. Higher ratings mean more advertising dollars, plain and simple. It's corporate America and capitalism.
Thats their motivation, not orders from some fictional "elite".

I agree completely. The media really is only concerned about making money and trying to stir up fear in the American public. But these elites aren't fictional. I am studying international relations right now and one of the things we're talking about in one of my classes is how much lobbyists and other non-governmental powers have power in making decisions. Who's to say that these puppet masters aren't pulling the strings behind the scenes in the media too?

But ask yourself concerning this thread.... Are you not perpetuating their work by creating debate that ultimately will produce conflicting discussion regarding a nobody who started something that was blown out of proportion both from the reporting and in the results of the reporting?

I mean no personal offence by that, but thought I'd point it out in the big scheme of things.

I do think you are right though. "They" will do anything to get that "breaking news" or "exclusive" or "heard it here first".

Best thing is not to fan their flames. Difficult I know but treating the MSM like children seems to pay off sometimes. If they stomp their feet to get a reaction, don't give it to them. Consider what makes them stamp their feet, not what the apparent issue is. Sadly, there are still a lot of sheeple who enjoy being spoon fed and find that habit hard to break and will take most things at face value. With the advent of online newspapers has come the comments sections which are rife with utter ignorance and must be a great source of exactly what you are describing here.

Do not despair, you sound smart, educate those around you and little by little the truth will prevail because it is far more solid than speculation and stands up on it's own for all to see. We just need to stop those elite parasites handing out blinkers.

The MSM always blatantly shows it's agenda to those with eyes to see.

BUT , the problem is, most people are so brainwashed and easily misled that they will Never see it.

Oh well. I am at the point I don't care if they lift themselves out of hell or if they burn in it for eternity.

I just don't care much anymore.

I only have one life to live so I'll worry about things I can change more. And I'll try to not care about all of this crap. I am watching yet, but caring? Not so much anymore.

If anyone is offended that I don't care much anymore, they have serious issues. My life does not exist for people to get cared about, it's nonsensical.
