what is the meaning of your username

My username came from a character in one of my favorite video games.

I liked it, and I use it everywhere.

Well the color of my hair is a dead give away.

But also because my husband's favorite character in the Chronicles of Amber was named Bleys.

i couple of years back i was at a party an someone asked my friend for a ciggarette and they said

'ask jeff he's my agent'

'your asian?' the guy replied (i am half asian).

'yes thats right,' my friend said, 'my asian, my special asian' so thats the first half.

The X came when i started at a new school and somehow they misplaced my surname and has it on all the school records as 'X' thus getting a nick name of Mr 'X'... combine the two and you have specialasianX (which is also the title of a song i wrote around that time as well)... so theres the story behind the name. i would have preferred secretasianX but fate just didnt have it that way

awesome, awesome series... your name has always made me think of those books. personally my favorites are a tie between caine and fiona.

Never been to an Amber Con. I did attend an Intervention Gamma convention a loooong time ago when I was gaming in high school. Met the nicest guy there named Larry Niven. Had no idea who he was at the time. My husband still gives me grief over it.

I guess I'm going to have to give Zalazny's books another chance seeing that you're a fan of them.

hmm mine username is my DJ name i got way back in chicago where I was starting out playing clubs and a pretty well known DJ was at that club that night and said whats your name and I told her I didnt have A DJ name she asked me whats your name I said Kris. She thought for a sec and said KRISKAOS cuz your causing some major kaos on the dancefloor I was like man thats bad. So it stuck.

I picked it because way back when I started playing online games I wanted the name Anubis, the egyptian god of the dead, but it was taken. So I picked BlackJackal instead because Anubis is portrayed as a black jackal. Kinda liked it so I kept it.



From the gaming days.

My favourite time of day is midnight and my totem animal is the raven. Hence Midnight Raven.

Actually, mine started when I was trying to get an online email account and all the names I wanted were taken. The same with the most common titles of Hecate (a Goddess that has always fascinated me). She's got about a hundred names/titles, and instead of choosing one I'd forget, I went with Hecate100. I use it everywhere from Usenet to IRC, so if you see the name, it's most likely me.

My username comes from an old habit of mine. Well, a current habit. I constantly scat (badly) and I also write so fast and fluid and constant that its like Im scatting with a pen.

My other nicknames include Lemo (given to me by a friend, its a mixture of my name and emo, the music) Lobster (the full rhyme goes Libster the Lobster from Lobsterville in Crustacean County) and pirate...because im a pirate.

My username is my nickname, margie, spanish real name margarita, but that is just the middle name.

My name is the nickname that I have from my martial art style, capoeira. It's a tradition in capoeira to be given a nickname that represents something about you. You're traditionally given the name by your mestre (teacher) but I came about mine differently.

If you've ever played Tekken 3, there is a capoeirista in it called Eddy Gordo (black guy, yellow/green clothes, dreds) and his nickname is Faisca. When I first started doing capoeira I had no mestre, so my best friend (who was learning with me) started calling me Faisca because of Eddy Gordo. So now Faisca represents pretty much how I first started learning capoeira (copying a game character's moves).

So now I use Faisca as a name for anything online.

My Chinese Zodiac, year of the Dragon. Fire is 1976's Element, thus Fire Dragon.

Diabolus is just representing the devilishness I sometimes have.

I was interested in and learning Esperanto when I signed up, and I wanted a 'name-like' username. So when I found out that 'al' means 'to(wards)' I used that to make Al Vereco which means to(wards) truth. Btw, Al is not my real name but you can call me that!

(Btw, Did Big Al from Happy Days have a surname? I can't remember...)
