ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Former "Manhattan Madam" Kristin Davis
says she's running for governor of New York to push her causes of
legalizing and taxing marijuana, legalizing gay marriage and decriminalizing prostitution.
She has secured a line on the ballot in November for her Anti-Prohibition Party.
She says her marijuana proposal will bring in billions of dollars in revenue and her prostitution plan would protect prostitutes from their pimps.
If she gets 50,000 votes in November, she will secure an automatic ballot line for at least four years and gain a voice in New York politics.
Davis once ran escort services with $900-an-hour hookers before she pleaded to promoting prostitution in 2008. She claimed to have provided hookers to
former Governor Eliot Spitzer who resigned in scandal

Im not sure if this is a good thing or not i am for the gay marriage ban to be dropped in NY state aswell as the legalization of marijuana.I am not
for the prostitution only because of my persanol beliefs. Is this supossed to be some sort of joke like McCain running for president was or is this
woman seriously going to try and do this legitimatly and make some really great changes for the state of NY.Who knows? Maybe she will do some good
maybe she wont.As a voter i think i would have to give her great consideration in this election.I have done my homework on her .I do not see anything
about her having a background in politics.Maybe im looking in the wrong places so if anyone can find this information on her please post it for me
and other NY residents to view.So in ending what does the rest of ATS and other NY state residents think of this?
