I disagree these are not spotlights in the sky, you can clearly see that the lights swirl around similar to the video below:

there was a news report that had more classical mandarin she understood and the presenter said it looked like luminous kites.

so no real scientific analysis of what people saw.

so basically, no mention of spotlights at all or celebrations or any other usual suspects.

bummed me out.

So, lets follow the basics... What we're seeing?

1) An overcasted sky partly enlightened in a very unusual way.
2) A building.
3) A tree.
4) Three powerlines.

What are we not seeing:

1) People (but we can indeed hear them, and it's been thankfully translated on fook's post right above, they are saying all those oh look a that kind of things)
2) The source of the strange moving lights.
3) The end of the phenomena.

So with these facts in hand, could it be a fake? YES, definetly. Just take a shoot of a building under a pre-rain sky. CGI the lights. Add audio from some chinese festival. You get it.

Could it be true? How more times will we have to insert a blank answer here..? It of course could be true, I want to believe a lot, well more than that, i want to KNOW. And to know, these kind of videos just excite our minds but release no answers. Thats what we know.

Anyway, if it was something real it was really really close to the ground.

I know here I go again,

I don't know what it is but if you look closely I think there is something that can't be explained because it is moving to quickly.

Start at about 55 sec. and stop and start you have to play with it.

Check the right side of the building it looks like something has come around where the the 3 small windows or whatever they are you can see white speak if you catch it in between 2 and 3 this white speck goes past the 2nd large black window whatever it is then continues up to where you see the second light from where the right window is. It appears to brush the patio if that is what it is and sparks a little the continues. It's fast and turns.

You have to get it just right by stop and starting to get the full effect.

Dont be so sure.. One thing i did notice was the swirling effect the clouds had that were light up.

If it's not fake then it is interesting i think, and probably not spotlights.

come on are you serious? Did you hear a rocket or firework going off?

Hasn't anyone observed what I wrote. I would like to hear what your thoughts are. I don't know what is happening there but you need to watch closely and go over it many times to catch it.

I looped the "rocket" part a few times @57 seconds. What I find most hillarious is hearing "beeyang haiya hahahaha haha!" It's just very funny!
