I don't know why they have to colorize them and make them look fake. I think the raw original images show up better.

The photos are not colourized, they are made with infrared instead of red and untraviolet instead of blue, so they show colours that are not real.

Why do they do that? It looks so weird.

Thanks for the explanation ArMap

The image you posted looks very similar to the ones Zargon posted, and the comparison photos are interesting as well. It would be very interesting if this was an ice formation like the ones in your reference pictures.

There's really no way of knowing,

A photo can show a more pixelated are if there was any transmission error, for example, but to know that we need to know how the images were created and transmitted (if they were transmitted).

It could be the result of pasting another image over that image, but that doesn't make much sense.

ok thanks. I am new to photo stuff like this so I have lots of questions i never asked before. Thanks for helping me ArMap

I am still unsure how to read alot on the NASA site when it comes to the pictures and the information they give. I understand some of it but when it comes to photo processing you lose me on that.

I agree with you there, if they are not glass tubes and are ice this is still very interesting......Water normally = Life

Not a problem

I saw these a few months back and found it very odd how they had formed in that shape.

Either way, this would be an interesting area to investigate. If it is ice, it would be fascinating to see if there are any life forms that were trapped within it, if it is glass tubes of some sort, than we would know for almost certain that an advanced life form did reside on the surface of mars at one time or another. I say almost certain because it just might be possible for tubes of glass to form from the sand and heat with wind blowing, not a high possibility but it could still be a possibility.

Here is a few picture I have from Mars, my contribution for your research thingy for your educational progress.

Read the bible and save your selves ( Faces of Death ) you must inform your selves befor is to late

.

Important: This is not that important but I will contribute for learning process.

Awesome pics
however when you click on them for the link it gives an ATS error message, like the ones when a thread has been deleted and you click on it.

I know the site so I will check them out on there.

The tubes look interesting.

Could any of those objects be parts of our equipment?

Where are these pics located so that I can locate them on the NASA site.

Yes, the photos (ones with red borders) taken by Spirit show a portion of the descent heat shield from the entry system, for the Rover and lander.

The second to last set of pics is actually part of the lander.

2nd.

For this pic you need to really get close to it and analyse it very close.

Did anybody said CITY? look at the architecture on these city of Mars. Skeptics?

You could be right but as far my info has taken me is that the lander is not even near where this is, it took the rover to get to this place three day's but who knows right?

Ummm, no sorry.

look at the architecture on these city of Mars.

Pixels. Part of the image, NOT "details" on the surface that have been photographed.

I'm afraid you've fallen victim to what I mentioned earlier. This guy, "J Skipper"?? Is he the one with "marsanomalyresearch"? "Cause, it looks like the "stuff" from that site.

Sorry, I don't pay much attention normally to these hoaxters, and their shenanigans, and I get them confused, there are so many (what with the junk also on YouTube so often).

Dude....look at the title on the picture, that "J Skipper" conveniently provided. "Bonneville Crater"...THAT is very near where the Spirit first landed!!

The link to this snippet of description is below the text:

Spirit recorded this view on the rover's 68th sol, March 12, 2004, one sol after reaching this location. The rover remaining here in part to get this very high-resolution, color mosaic, from which scientists can gain insight about the depth of the surface material at Bonneville and make future observation plans. The light blue object on the far rim of the crater is Spirit's heat shield.

It has a different photo in the link, as it's a wider view "mosaic", of the crater (with the heat shield farther away, appearing smaller:

nssdc.gsfc.nasa.gov...

More on that link, above, and some perspective for people regarding the Rovers, and just how far (or not, as case may be) they actually "rove":

NASA's Mars Exploration Rover Spirit took the images that make up this 360-degree mosaic anaglyph with its navigation camera on sol 156 (June 11, 2004).....(skip)..... Since landing at Gusev crater, Spirit has put more than 3.4 kilometers (2.1 miles) on its odometer. Much of this can be attributed to the long drives the rover had to undertake to reach these interesting landforms.

So, even after 156 sols (A Martian "sol" is just a little more than 24 Earth hours, so not much longer than one Earth 'day') it had only travelled just over two miles.

So, what is NASA trying to "hide", exactly?? Since these photos are widely available for public viewing??

It's untrue that nature can't create patterns.

For example:

img3.photographersdirect.com...
raympoon.playgroundhk.com...

But i found more interesting those widespread culture references about mars. It's strange that all cultures identify mars as a god of war or destruction.
There would be a great evidence if two different cultures develop same references about mars, without contacting each other. That would prove there isn't any influence.
