I have a friend who campaigned like a dog for Obama.
Elderly lady, anti-corporation, gay rights advocate, dog rescuer, pays to spay and neuter pets in the neighborhood,
the soul of charity.
Absolutely thrilled that the first family would get a shelter dog.
Overjoyed that gays would get equal rights.
Ecstatic that corporations would lose their overwhelming influence.
Then came the gift of a Portugese Water Dog from a political dynasty, the defense of the DOMA, and an Oval Office full of lobbyists.
Now when the President is mentioned, her smile vanishes into a tight, thin line. It's sad. I feel sorry for her loss.
And I have a friend who posts manufactured anecdotal stories on the internet in an attempt to present a facade of discontent within the ranks of his political rivals.
He gets paid well for his work.
He's talking about republicans; fanning the flames of the dividing line being drawn down this country. If it wasn't on his official speech that appeared on the teleprompter, it was without a doubt, planned.

The same ones he is speaking about are probably the same ones that helped him become President.
Notice the word "not always happy with me"
How nice that your friend has a job. It's fortunate that he found a well paid position manufacturing facades, considering how the market is presently glutted by genuine discontent within the ranks of Obama's political rivals.

"that means taking on some powerful interests in Washington who have been dominating the agenda in Washington for a very long time, and they are not always happy with me, ...they talk about me like a dog...that's not in my remaks, but that's true, ....stopping companies from charging hidden fees and unfair rate hikes...they aren't happy with it, but it was the right thing to do.

Well, when you think about a Presidents eight year shelf-life versus a career Senator. Or a coalition of them...
Then again maybe Obama might do what Kennedy, IMO was considering doing - and out the real powers behind the throne.

You are wrong... this is NOT THE FIRST TIME! JFK made a rogue speech about "Secret Societies" and he said that he would tell everything to the public before the end of his term! Now we know WHY he was killed... We also know why Reagen was shot by his Secret Service Agent after he dodged one bullet, says he didn't feel any pain til he was thrown into the car. After that, he straightened up and did what they wanted.
