AOL used to be owned by Time Warner (formerly AOL-Time Warner) until the conglomerate spun off AOL into a seperate public company in 2009.
As far as FOX News which is owned by News Corp, the third largest media conglomerate in the world, they surely can compete and they do. News Corp owns
a whole host of media outlets, to include newspapers (some of the most well known), book publishers, magazines, radio and TV stations (both network,
cable and satelite).
News Corp is defintely up there with the biggest of them.
