I was just wondering if the parent company of aol was the same as "FOX", My point is that the news media is far to the left and yet aol is blatenly? right. I think its funny that FOX can keep up with the other outlets all bye itself. it would be nice to have an even playing field.

AOL used to be owned by Time Warner (formerly AOL-Time Warner) until the conglomerate spun off AOL into a seperate public company in 2009.

As far as FOX News which is owned by News Corp, the third largest media conglomerate in the world, they surely can compete and they do. News Corp owns a whole host of media outlets, to include newspapers (some of the most well known), book publishers, magazines, radio and TV stations (both network, cable and satelite).

News Corp is defintely up there with the biggest of them.

At the risk of seeming to constantly be plugging my own thread ,, there's some good info in here:

Who owns the media

AOL was a nightmarish bad idea for Time/Warner.... but in my opinion they got what they deserved.
