Well, if this is true, this is a big deal...which makes me a bit skeptical about it being true to begin with...

The airwaves would be blaring with this news...even if you dont think the msm would, plenty of outlets that are brave enough would...

So, going to remain a bit skeptical on this for now....however if in a few months, we got a ice age initiating, then yep, that makes sense.

well to be honest
I did a google search of the same title of this thread
and there seems to be hundreds of blogs with this
same info in it. A lot of them with the same exact wording.

And just a note: the 47th Parallel N. is basically what
is called the US / Canadian border with a lil of Canada
dropping down below it around the Great lakes.

Following on the GoM disaster, I too remember seeing a thread about the ocean currents and their interlinkages...

It made me think at the time that a change somewhere along the ''system'' would eventually work it's way to affect the BIGGER picture...

Maybe the price we will all be playing because of the GoM disaster is that the ocean current system has been and will be affected which in turn affects our weather systems..??!

High pollution released into that ocean must either 'displace' normal water out of the GoM or contaminates the sea water so that it behaves differently ??(more viscous or more dense ??)

Here is the thread about ocean currents.......

www.abovetopsecret.com...

Maybe we have Affected the Gulf of Mexico and it's links with the rest of the oceans ??

?

If this is true, then life as we know it, will change forever(being dramatic)

It could in theory happen. But it hasn't happened. Simple as that.

The last time we think it may have happened it took the equivalent of all the Great Lakes emptying into the Atlantic within a matter of days to stop it. Can't see anything similar happening any century soon.

Reports in recent years that the GS may be 'slowing down' have also now been shown to be wrong

news.bbc.co.uk...

The early snow in Russia was a false story as well - temperatures in the region at the time were consistently above freezing and very close to average for mid September ..... ie if anything it was slightly warmer than normal.

But that's blogs for you. Anyone can say whatever they want and be believed by those who want to believe.

Nah... the MSM wouldn't pick this up. Too complicated an issue. You need sound bites any idiot can glom onto. We do know that over most of the 20th century the climate has warmed causing the glaciers to melt world wide. This has dumped a large amount of cold, fresh water into the northern limits of the current lowering salinity (and consequently water density). This interferes with the current's natural cycle of the warm tropical water sinking and returning southward.

In addition, we're just coming out of one of the most active solar periods in the last 500+ years. The sun has been on a tear for most of the 20th century. Since 2004, however, we have had over 800 spotless days --- almost two times that of a typical solar minimum. This has also been linked to climactic cooling.

also another note:
the loss of the current and the
colder water temperatures could
have been what caused Hurricane Earl's
characteristics and actions.

Remember, the meteorologist all scratching
their heads wondering how that happened?
Well this could cause that I believe.

If this were on MSM
there would be mass panic.

Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

The currents exist for a reason and they are not man-made. If you drain the water in your bathtub and see the little vortex swirling down the tube, you can wave your fingers under and break it up or put your hand on top of it to try and block it. The vortex will disappear and reappear on the other side of your hand, or re-establish itself if it's broken.

Same concept. If that current stopped because it's function was no longer sustaining it, I'm almost positive it started again elsewhere or it will be coming back.
