Aliens in the quran ?

Hi everybody,

I saw this verry interresting article, wich I want to share here with everybody. The writer of the article claims that the holy quran speaks about aliens.

So could it be true ? Does the quran really speak about aliens or do we have to 'translate' them as the angels of God ? I know that the debate about this is old, but maybe we have to accept that the quran may well tell the truth about this subject...

Is there any alien intelligent life ?
Although the discovery of any form of life outside the earth would be
dramatic,humankind is especially interested in knowing whether there
is any alien intelligent life in the universe.NASA previously had a
program on the search for extraterrestrial intelligence
(SETI).Although now scrapped due to budget cuts, private SETI
organizations (19) have now been made which continue the search.The
Planetary Society, (20) a private organization,in which the film
director Steven Speilberg (21) is a member of the Board of
Directors,has the largest SETI program in the world.So far, no sign
of alien intelligent life has turned up.Can the Quran provide an
answer?

Sura 27:65 commands,"Say:None in the heavens or on earth, except
God,knows what is hidden:nor can they perceive when they shall be
raised up (for Judgement)." (22) This shows that,like humans,there
are other creatures in the universe that will also be raised from the
dead.We are told in 19:93-96,"Not one of the beings in the heavens
and the earth but must come to (God) Most Gracious as a servant.He
does take an account of them (all),and hath numbered them (all)
exactly.And everyone of them will come to Him singly on the Day of
Judgement.On those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, will
(God) Most Gracious bestow love." (23) From these verses we learn
that there are alien lifeforms that,like us,will also be judged
according to the works that they do during their lives.Among them are
the believers.Therefore,naturally,there will also be those aliens who
are unbelievers.The believers will be rewarded.The lifeforms being
descibed in the above verses can hardly be expected to be
microorganisms.The Quran is referring to creatures of a level of
development that makes them morally accountable beings.They must be
organisms possessing qualities which we would ascribe to intelligent
lifeforms.

S&F: The Qur'an has some interesting ideas in it. Jinn were created from fire, and Humans were created from earth. There must be other life out there, with all those billions upon billions of stars

I Noticed also from the source article your thread links to is this fact (below) they mention from the Qur'an:

Sura 51:47 informs us,"And it is We who have built the universe with (Our creative) power; and, verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it."

So The Qur'an, recited by Muhammad between 610-632AD, said that the Universe is expanding!

And the accepted 'expanding universe' theories from einstein, hubble, et al; are from what date?

eg #9 "The sun ... runneth unto an appointed term." does not mean what they say. it means the sun will eventually burn out.

Don't shoot the messenger. That was just the only site I could find. I do have a book by a Muslim scholar who has devoted a chapter to discuss science in the Koran and then with Muslim scientists.

Humm? Well it determines what you are looking for in Islam. I used to be a Christian who accepted Muhammad as a prophet of God. I did learn a lot about Islam. Still it is confusing and like the Bible verses can be interpenetrated many different ways.

the quran is too basic to be the work of extraterrestrials. The science claims in it are at best laughable.

I was only asking for a thread like this to be posted the other day. Many thanks. What do other religions etc say and predict? I'm very interested.
Regarding aliens? Ancient aliens thread says more or less the same thing.

Of course, because something doesn't exist without being observed and our ability to observe the universe is increasing exponentially with technological advancement. Ergo, the universe is expanding simply because we observe more of it.

I don't see how anything in the Koran can be taken seriously as "fact".

Now, King Solomon's writings ..... different story.

He once mentioned the differential rotation of the sun.

I came to this conclusion as well, simply by trying to understand, firstly, the numerous mentions of "We", with a capital "W", who often do the saying and giving, and secondly, what was the purpose of the various instructions - don't eat dead animals, don't eat the blood, don't eat pigs etc. I then looked at it from the angle of a bunch of genetic scientists trying to control their open air lab/experiment, and virtually everything fits!

Anyway’s, we ‘ad this minor anomaly – seems like the pilot mis-judged the top o’ Sinai a tad in the sandstorm.......no, we still investigatin’ the PDTAS (Perfectly Designed Terrain Avoidance System) what makes it impossible for these things to occur.....’ave t’ wait on th’ report from the aviation crowd. (That put’s THAT t’ bed permanently). Now quit with ya off topic questions, we running out of time here, the important thing is that it spilled a bit of fuel. Now nothing to worry about, the wind blew the radiation round a bit, and the fall-out was somethin’ else – man, ya should see the readings!!!!............Ahem, “cough”, like I said, nothin’ t’ worry about, but it’s good just t’ take some precautions. IF, and it’s a BIG if, the radiation gets on ya, it’s not all that good fir ya, so, when ya get back home, after tramping round in that camel ‘n goat dung all day, don’t be trailing it all through ya house, then sleepin’ next t’ it all night!!! Take yer shoes off whenever ya go indoors – leave all that radiation ‘n mud ‘n crap OUTSIDE on ya porch see? Also, wash good – real important – clean, clean, clean!!!! Just keep on washin’ that horrid, inferior, “natural” dirt off ya an’ ya clothes O.K.? Oh, also, ‘s not so important now that ya know nature and stuff is not of any use – NO MORE PLAYIN’ WITH THEM CUDDLY DOGGIE’S!!!! Them critters eat ALL manner of rubbish! (Well they will since ya don’t feed ‘em none anyways). That dead crap and junk they eat is probably irradiated t’ the eyeballs, an’ then ya’ll let the cute doggies lick ya an’ just spread it all round on ya! Bad stuff – Leprosy an’ Gawd......Allah...... knows what all that radiation an’ dodgy genetic/DNA material does t’ ya. No more doggies – no lettin’ doggies touch ya! Camels ‘n goats ‘n all are not so bad – they eat grass....at least THAT ain’t no got genetic contamination as well as the radiation in it – not like the dead crap the dogs eat.
