So how come I'm not seeing the same style threads I originally saw when I peeked into 2010* layout a few months back? Was amazing. That's what you mean by work in progress right? Right? Cause the new thread layout was looking amazing.

so can I tell everyone how I got to see and explore the new layout ahead of time yet? I've been waiting since: THIS POST

EDIT, then again, maybe I should wait, doesn't look like all the pages are put up yet.

Oh and BTW that was posted 20-4-2010

This is what I was talking about in my (unanswered) post a few pages back.

The ATS logo is obscured.... is this the same for everyone?

Mine isn't like that. The toolbar is well below the ATS logo on my screen. What resolution are you using?

The member tools - then pick more - to the left of the message box you have the old member list button as an alternative.

Peace!

I heard a Mod mention this in chat yesterday.

Go to member tools, click on more... at the very bottom and look for Member list at the left hand side.

(I just checked myself and it does work.)

ETA: Nevermind, I'm too slooooooooowww!!

Damn you Chevalerous!

Please put the Top button back. It makes navigating threads much easier.

Is this it? So no top button? Can we get a notification when change over is complete? So far not too bad, but not too different. Like the above poster I managed to use the 2010 version for a while until they clamped down on it and it was a lot different than this. It was different and this seems cosmetic changes only.

Yeah, so far I don't like it. I feel lost........

Yep! I agree. I don't like it either.

Just like Microsoft. When I am now comfortable with the OS and where things are located... Wham!! A new version (W7) comes out. Now it forces the use to learn to use the new OS. To me, that is unnecessary.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I wonder how much all this fancy-schmancy updated cost? In my mind, that translates into more ads, which simply means more cookies than I care to count.

Time to run Malwareytes & SpyBot more often. "I am NOT A COOKIE-MONSTER!"

I'm really struggling to see how people are finding this new layout so hard to navigate?

Ok it's only my personal opinion, but its a lot easier on the eyes, and the drop down menus are so easy to use, fast too....theres really nothing to find difficult about it.

I think it could be a case of some people finding change a lot harder to take than others.

I have to say it again, just the look of the place looks 100% better, very nice indeed.

Maybe i'm easily pleased, i don't know. How many other websites would put this much work into their own site?

Whether it's ads that pay for it or not, don't those ads go when you become a member anyway? Or at least most do, and at the end of the day, how much does this all cost us? Nothing.

CX.

No this is not "it", far from it. Just use the "Home" button on your keyboard to get to the top of the page until it's finished.

The complete implementation process will take weeks more.

I have read though there but can not find it so forgive me it it has been posted. Evry since the ATS site update all the links and threads open in a small window and I have to enlarge them to full screen (not talking about F11 screen). I at first thought it was my IE7 settings but it is not. It only happens on ATS and not on other sites. What is the deal? Is this something you know about? How do I change it so the links and threads open in fulll screen like they did before the update? Has anyone esle had this to happen to them since the update?

I have not experienced that at all--before or after the update.
If that would happen to me it would probably mean something in my browser settings changed.

Well commenting on a work in progress I can say that I definitely liked the old navigation bar better than the new one.

Is obamas and the conspiracy chicks mug in the background only temporary? Or will we have to put up with this every time a new conspiracy chicks episode is made? I could care less about conspiracy chicks, i know many people agree with me. For those that like it there is already a big pink watch conspiracy chicks link at the top, we get u2u's and there is always a thread about it....so im hoping it is only a one off and the background will be changed soon to something less nauseatingly terrible and annoying.
Oh and im getting used to everything else slightly more now, but i still vastly preferred the old layout.
