WASHINGTON (AP) — The number of illegal immigrants living in the U.S. has dropped for the first time in two decades — decreasing by 8 percent as the sour economy dried up jobs and increased enforcement made it harder to sneak across the border with Mexico, a new study finds.

In my opinion this is a really bad way for Obama to fix the immigration problem. His plan has some definite holes...

Wow, wish I did not get rid of the race card.

Hey OP

Many thumbs up for pulling a race baiter in on the first comment.
Wish I wouldn't have deleted the race card from my pictures.

Hey CofS
I thought everyone got the memo to no longer use the race card.
Were you out sick that day dude? It is no longer working.

Hey OP, funny one.

What do you think of Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Cuba, North Korea and other civil rights rich countries, getting to decide whether or not we can protect our borders? Ol Bama and Clinton brings the US and specifically Arizona up on charges of human rights issues to the UN.

I covered that in this thread-More proof Obama is a Globalist-Video

If that was directed at me my great-grandfather and great- grandmother were native American on my grandmothers side so I have some of that "brown" showing. And I wish pro-illegal immigration people could come up with any logical argument at all.

I think the word "racist" needs to be redefined as "someone who spends all their time and energy thinking about race".

Now, who are the racists?

Not even close, My grandmother was Native, come to my neck of the woods and we can live off the land because she taught me how to forage as a child. I'd venture to say that I'm browner than you are and that it isn't about borders, it is 100% about color.

How logical is this: 18,000 BCE- Natives populate North America. Late 15th Century CE, Europeans invade. You do the math.

I think the word racist is fine right where it is, on people like you.

I don't know how to reply, it almost seems like you are calling me a liar. I'll chalk that up to a misunderstanding on my part to avoid any unnecessary drama...
I have to warn you though before we go on the great "forage off" that I grew up a country girl in Arkansas. "Living off the land" is groceries in my house. My kids and I forage spring and summer. We eat poke and can all sorts of jellies. Right now in my pantry I have blackberry, chokeberry, huckleberry, and current jellies. We put in a garden, and right now I have chickens and pigs. I just traded my goats for some beautiful Rhoade Island Red hens. We missed out on the wild plum this year because it was so dry they just shriveled on the tree. I haven't gotten a chance to check on the muscadines yet.
I grew up in the boonies, like over an hour each way on the school bus boonies. No electricity, no indoor plumbing (yep we had an outhouse and a spring for water) , wood stove for heat and cooking, and gasp no phone even.
Hunting I don't do, but if I had to I know a place where the wild turkey, deer, and rabbit are thick. Thankfully I have a few men in my life that can take care of that part. My 9 year old son and 12 year old daughter have been wanting to go hunting but being mom I am hesitant to let them. Maybe you would like pictorial evidence? I'll show you mine if you show me yours. All in all, I'd have to say I would not do too bad if I had to suddenly give up modern conveniences.

My original post was made in fun, I thought it was humorous that the Mexicans were packing up and going home because the job market in the US was so bad. There was nothing racist about it, but if it came across that way I apologize.

Yeah...can't see any racism in your posts...

But that's ok your allowed to play that card if you want....

The problem with history is that we can't go back an correct it... though it seems that the people "of the affected people" seem to think we can... or they tend to think that "the Sins of the father are visited upon the children for seven generations" ....guess that's fair, huh?

instead of trying to play to the "guilt card", and the "poor me" card you should try and see what can be be done to fix it on our end.....unless you still see the "white man" as an invader, and wish to see this country "taken down" so that you can reclaim paradise lost....

so how about you contribute something worth while.... an idea to let people become legal while staying here...

to seal the border so thugs an murders...the kind that behead their own mayor....can't come in ....

deport any with felonies in their originating country...back to their originating country ...allow the honest people stay ....

illegal immigration is more than Mexicans...it is any one here not legally and it needs to addressed....

again why don't you help instead of being confined to your self-made box

Thanks Sparky...
I don't think we should ship them back wholesale. In Arkansas we have a lot of Mexicans and for the most part they are wonderful neighbors. My children have friends that their parents are first gen and speak NO english but they are good kids and their parents are hard working "Americans". I agree we should be working on ideas not just throwing slurs. How about we fence the border, if you are a violent criminal you are outta here one way no return. Mexico is in trouble, I don't begrudge ANYONE wanting to get themselves and their families as far away from that as possible. Most American's value our immigrants from ALL countries. What we have a problem with is having a war zone at our border, having paid activist stirring up the people who are in a communication limbo because they don't know our language. They have come from a corrupt country and it is no wonder they believe the worst when told "we" are going to deport them if they are seen walking down the sidewalk or if they are getting an ice cream with their children. That is a lie. Border violence is the argument, gang violence is the argument. All we want is for them to come in, be counted and documented then follow the laws. What is the problem with that?

encyclopediaofarkansas.net...

The Latino population in Arkansas, which began its rapid growth in the 1980s, has created significant political, economic, and social modifications within the state. Latino food and music, as well as bilingualism, have become common in several regions of the state. Numerous industries and economic ventures have prospered since the mid-1990s due in large part to the contributions of the immigrant workforce.

If this is true, and so far this is just one report, the question is why are they not moving on securing the borders? After all if they secure the borders, then the question on what to do with all of the illegale immigrants can be dealt with in a more calmer postion and where cooler heads can prevail, along with it being fair and equal across the board, to include the question of children of illegale immigrants that are born here in the US soil, allowing all the court cases to work through the courts, to get the opinion of all of the judges in the process.
The reason why now is the time to secure the borders, is that it would help boost the economy and to prevent more illegale immigrants from coming into the country. It would quiet the public down, and allow for the politicians to actually decide and debate in a fair and balanced manor on what to do with all of the illegale immigrants who are currently in the country. It would also prevent those who are legally convicted of the more serious crimes, that are deproted back to their home country from returning or making it much harder for them to come back into the country to do more harm again.
Another concern, that many are not thinking of, and it should be on the forefront of all of our minds, is what will we do, should there be a mass influx of refugees coming from Mexico into the US, how can a system that is already overburdened handle that many more people coming into the country and putting a strain on a system that can not handle any more? As the violence south of the borde continues to get worse, then it will increase the chance of such happening. More and more horrifing reports coming from Mexico are very disturbing, so the question is when will the politicians decide to actually do something, or how many people have to get hurt in the process before they come up with actual working solutions to the problems at hand?

OOPS! hit the button before I meant too..

I believe that Obama and other Dems are counting on the Hispanic vote to put them over the top. Unfortunately for them, Hispanics are not falling for it. They are looking at the issues instead of the fear the pols are serving.

www.huffingtonpost.com...

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama's once solid support among Hispanics is showing a few cracks, a troubling sign for Democrats desperate to get this critical constituency excited about helping the party hold onto Congress this fall.

As for when it will get fixed, I think it is coming. Obama is skirting the issue, filing lawsuits, and reporting us as "Human rights Violators". It is just a matter of time before he HAS to actually do something to address the problem. He is in over his head, his advisers, cabinet, congress and senate seem to be equally clueless. Our country is being run by a bunch of people who apparently have no idea of consequences.
