Ron Paul has some surprising news for the Tea Party:

You’re being taken for a ride.

At least this is what many libertarians like Ron Paul believe when they see someone like Glenn Beck or Sarah Palin trying to lead the Tea Party at the “restoring honor” rally this weekend. In fact,

I tend to agree with him on that. The tea Party started out as something great, but it's quickly getting taken over by the MSM and corrupt political members. If it doesn't weed out these people and do it fast, it will just be another tool they can use against us. I honestly think that noncompliance is our only answer. People don't understand that we hold the current system up and keep it running. We have the power to change the system with noncompliance.

I do too, especially since they two are both on the payroll of FOX.

Beck earns like $2 Million per year ? Palin is paid $100K per appearance ?

Come On ?!

They should have called it " Restoring Republicans" !

Because that is more of what it actually is !!!

She's a politician. They all get paid huge amounts of money for saying what the audience wants to hear. I thought she was dumb. But considering what her income is and how she found a very well paid job roaming around giving speechs .. I'd say she's freak'n brilliant (at least in that area)

As to Ron Paul. I wish he was 55 years old. He's too old for POTUS and sometimes now he says things that I wonder about ... if it's his age or what ... Hope that didn't sound 'age-ist' .. but ... well ...

Good advice to the Tea Party people .. be careful. The rally was nice, but it wasn't a Tea Party rally. It was a CHRISTIAN rally. The Tea Party isn't supposed to have an official religious stand kind of thing. Ya' know ??

You got it. I like David Icke's theory. When The Powers That Be are at the top of a very pointy pyramid (only a few at the very top), all it takes for the whole thing to come down is for some of the blocks at the bottom to be dislodged.

And when the pyramid is in reality the controlling of those people at the bottom, who represents the blocks? All us regular Joes! Let's keep dislodging and bring this whole corrupt system craqshing down!

The OP is right on the money on this one. The Tea Party definitely had the right approach at the beginning, but were hijacked by far right wing Republican interests such as Palin, Limbaugh, and Beck.

In a day and age when both Republicrats and Democrans are realizing that the average citizen knows that no matter who is in power the agenda remains the same, it's more important than ever that the parties both should appear to be centrist.

Anyone who appears to be on the far left or the far right appears to be a looney toon with extremist policy views.

As far as elections go, it's not really about policies any more. It's all about which party can get the most supporters out to vote.

I absolutely agree with Dr. Paul.

I just had this conversation with my brother about a month ago. He asked why I don't attend Tea Party rallies anymore. I told him that the Republican Party has hijacked it through Beck and Palin, and is now using it for their own agenda. The Tea Party movement was becoming a threat to the status quo, and thus must be eliminated.

I predict that once they have gained full control by getting Republican shills into leadership roles they will destroy the movement. After all, Republicans want your taxes just as much as Democrats. The only difference is that they want to give it to Haliburton instead of Welfare.

This is hardly "shocking" simply because anyone that doesn't have their rose colored glasses on could have seen this coming a mile away. Why waste time getting people behind your own movement to save your sorry ass when you can just hijack someone elses and call it your own?
Politicians are just so smart and resourceful. They will bleed the Tea party movement dry, and leave it on the side of the road to die in misery and shame.

Why is this shocking? This is all true. Proof the Tea Baggers cannot handle truth as it's too much for them to handle.

They want it both ways and have it be thier way or the highway. Enough giving this racist, freedom hating group and really group them where they really need to be, "Enemies of America and the rest of the world".

When the sheep are being led by what is in fact the largest, best fianced, best conencted media progandic matrix on the planet means the rose coloured glasses never come off and the morons are not allowed to see the rug being pulled over thier own heads while being told to not dare question a thing as well as hating everyone who does not fit into thier little mold that TPTB, MSM has created for them and if they go against it they are outcasted and tossed out like yesterday's garbage. The ultimate mindflip (word replacement used, most know the phrase) employed. The ultimate manipulation via deception, deciet and lies.

The true and honest Tea Partiers realize the jig is up and now are trying to backpeddle out of it but in reality the time to act has come and gone. They should've been more proactive and instead of falling for every little thing hook, line and sinker no one dared to come out to question the reason like if they feared it (like if someone did they'd get drug through the mud and kicked out of the party). Failure to challenge any group results in tyrannical rule even though on a considerably smaller scale here but the setup and rise is exactly the same. Heck, you could've at a rally told the mindless morons that the new enemy was to be say, (hypothetically only) the computer and the internet and you would've seen a mass exodus and massive campaign to eliminate the internet as a result. No intelligent people in the group whatsoever and finally I will not ever take or be apart of any group whose design infastructure was no different then say a terrorist group, decentralization through out the entire movement, no core leadership, autonomous groups acting independantly instead of cohesively reminds me too much of the infastructure design for say, al-Qaida.

Was CNN on to something when they started saying "The American al-Qaida" was in fact the Tea Baggers in disguise? US DOJ, FBI, US DHS released a memo in Spring 09 warining of "The rise of radical right wing extremists groups" and in less then a few weeks The Tea Party is on the scene? Very, very and way too suspicious if you ask me.

They couldn't shut down Healthcare, Financial Reform, Keep the Iraqi Theatre going, they will not however stop the restoration of the United States Of America. They will not stop Clean Energy Independance, prevent peace in The Middle East and around the world. Thier sole purpose was a distraction attempt and as quick as they came into the spotlight they are being turned away.

Ed Schultz on his MSNBC show admitted a truth which very few actually picked up on, he said and took responsiblity on behalf of the media in keeping the TPM's radical antics in the headlines and allowing the antics to dominate the news coverage. Olbermann, Maddow and Matthews don't like to bring them up but are forced to.

Hopefully in closing this will finally close and shut the door on this once admirable group that is now a laughing stock and a joke, destroyed and radicallized by design.

So true.

It's the old "thesis, antithesis, synthesis" trick whereby TPTB infiltrate the opposition until they're in a position to control all sides of the equation and force an outcome that suits their own agenda.

Tread carefully...

I most certainly agree. I used to listen to Beck, I loved the history he presented, and the connections he made, even though his methods were a bit off, the message seemed to be clear, we need to get back to what the Founding Fathers designed for us.But now, I can hardly believe what he did at that rally. This is not a Christian Nation, never has been, and never will be, and he and Sarah spouting that religious nonsense makes both of them like like idiots. Both have lost my favor for good. The Tea Party is a real good idea, but people in it need to keep people like this far away. The Tea Party rallies I attended had no such message.

did i miss where this was a tea party?

Spoken like a true Obamabot loser. "Tea Baggers"? Really? You just couldn't wait to sling some cheap shots here could you?

They want it both ways and have it be thier way or the highway. Enough giving this racist, freedom hating group and really group them where they really need to be, "Enemies of America and the rest of the world".

Racist? So you're just one of those mindless people who have no real argument, so you use the "R" word as a substitute. Not one of your ilk can HONESTLY prove racism, and never have. Explain to me how demanding that the government keep it's grubby hands out of my pocket is "racist". Maybe you're just one of those Welfare babies who has parents have leeched off the system and need my money to survive because you have no skills. Either that or you're a teacher who can't stop whining about your low pay. Those are the only two groups I've ever seen who can't stop crying about taxes being too low.

Well I hope you're not a teacher with that atrocious spelling. If you are, at least don't admit it. Sheep? Sorry to burst your bubble, but the sheep are the ones who go along with the government, not the ones who demand to be left alone by them. You don't even know that you're describing yourself. Spelling skills aren't the only thing you lack. You also have no clue about history.

The true and honest Tea Partiers realize the jig is up and now are trying to backpeddle out of it but in reality the time to act has come and gone. "The true and honest Tea Partiers" have left the movement precisely because it's been taken over, and you're claiming that leaving the party is back peddling. If we're members we're racist, if we quit based on principle it's back peddling. Talk about wanting it both ways!

I won't even bother with the rest of your mindless drivel. You obviously came here with a closed mind to sling insults, and not for intelligent discussion. You had an opportunity to use the word "racist" and jumped in with both feet. Congratulations, you said all that without a single fact.

Try taking the rose coloured glasses off and see it for what it truly is, a push to prevent the restoration of The USA. I am one of the most open minded people you will ever come across as my facts are what reality truly is and not what TPM designs for you. Why don't you attack Rep. Paul? Apparently you have a serious comprehension problem. First, As I already stated, I am no longer a Tea Party member for exactly the reason Ron Paul stated.

Second, the Tea Party DID NOT START OUT as anything but a grass roots movement to get government spending under control. It has been hijacked. No one handed it over to the neocons, THEY STOLE IT. Get that straight first.

Third, I voted for Ron Paul and donated to his campaign, and plan to vote for him again in 2012.

As I said, you have no argument, just the "racist" non-argument. You're twisting Ron Paul's words to mean the the Tea Party has ALWAYS been corrupt and "racist". You're being ignorant by choice because you so desperately want taxes to remain high and hate anyone who thinks otherwise.

Again, please explain how wanting the government to keep it's grubby hands out of my pocket is racist. I'd really like to know, unless of course it's just rhetoric to substitute for logic. If you didn't know that was the agenda of the Tea Party movement then you need to get an education before you spout off with mindless insults. The racist argument is nothing but a refuge for liberals who have been proven wrong.

One has to read into the ongoing events. What I read is as follows:

The Tea Party was being lambasted by all the Elite while they changed their NSA files to dissident constitutionalists. Even so the movement continued to grow and has now become a potential threat. As such the movement is being discredited, infiltrated and subverted to neutralise them by supporting the movement with tissue paper politicians and paid for media such as Beck!

If the Tea Party can see the light and get rid of them, then there is a real chance that they can, along with the Paul's cause a serious dent in the Elites moves to re-shape the USA into a capitalist/socialist/communist country, or as I like to call it CaSoCo Union.

It will be interesting to see the game that is played on both side of the party; although I fear the party themselves are not that bright, and will be trampled by Pallin and her backers.

Racism is what TPM wants especially it's GOP Puppetmasters because they want to incite violence and if they can't get it through that avenue trust me they will find a way in.

Well, it is up to people like you to try and get it back from the clutches of the Neo Cons. The more that is delayed the apparent becomes more true.
I applaud you for finally waking up and refusing to be suckered into hating not only your fellow man but the nation as well.

The fact does remain that as long as the radical nature of TPM exists that the probality for a potentially fatal incident becomes considerably more of a likelyhood.

This is the ideal time for TPM movement to finally rid itself of it's radical and racist element but it's still too early to try to make a run for elected office as anymore people from different parties will make our already complicated system even more complicated then what it is now. Let's work on getting people back to work, the nation back on track to recovery and prosperity and let us regain some sort of sense of normalacy back to this nation before anyone else can be allowed to come in and mess the progress and advancement that's been done thus far.

TPM needs to get behind things like protecting the people whatever the cause. protecting the youth, the disabled and the geriatric segment of the population, protecting jobs, make sure that all parents have enough to put a hot meal in thier kid's stomache every day, makes sure the kids have clean clothes to wear, a safe and well funded school to go to, a job lined up for them when they graduate. Oppourtunities for college. This nation never has and never will be centred around the rich and wealthy. This is the nation where a nobody can become a somebody.

That is the point I've been trying to make with TPM all along. No one in thier right minds now wants to see our loving naton divided by stupid and moronic things.

I'd back Dr. Paul but the fact he wants to cut off all social programs keeps me from endorsing and supporting him. Social programs like SSI and SSD, Unemployment helped our nation recover and bounce back after WWII. Social Security is the money you pay into every week and get back when you either can't work or are retired. In 08 I backed Obama with Kuscinich and Richardson as my alternates. Hillary continue to remains off my radar in that regard due mainly to the fact that being married to the 42nd POTUS doesn't automatically qualify her to be elected POTUS.

There's that attempt at a liberal con job again. The GOP and the Tea Party are NOT one and the same. However acknowledging that fact doesn't fit with your agenda of higher taxes, so that you can continue to leech off of the taxpayers, and therefore you'll never admit it. Exactly how many times must someone teach you the history of the Tea Party movement before it actually sinks in? Let's try one more time, because obviously you're either incredibly dumb or pretending to be:

1) Tea Party Movement is organized by ORDINARY CITIZENS who are sick of BOTH PARTIES, to protest high taxes and outrageous spending by the Federal Government. The movement consists of members of EVERY PARTY and EVERY RACE. Oops! There goes your "racist" argument!

2) The first protest is successful beyond what anyone expected, in part because the so-called "bailout" bill was just passed, against the wishes of the vast majority of the American people.

3) The movement grows exponentially and the BOTH PARTIES see them as a threat to the status quo which needs to be destroyed.

4) The Democrats use their usual BS "racist" argument against them because let's face it, it's all they have, while the Republicans use Beck and Palin to infiltrate it and get their followers on-board.

5) The infiltrators claim to have been in agreement with the Tea Party since the beginning and slowly take it in a new direction, to make it appear to be a radical right-wing movement.

Look, I broke it down into simple easy-to-understand steps, on a first grade level that I think even YOU might be able to understand, although I really have my doubts since one cannot understand what one chooses not to.

Well, it is up to people like you to try and get it back from the clutches of the Neo Cons. The more that is delayed the apparent becomes more true.
I applaud you for finally waking up and refusing to be suckered into hating not only your fellow man but the nation as well.

I woke up a long time ago. Now it's your turn.

The fact does remain that as long as the radical nature of TPM exists that the probality for a potentially fatal incident becomes considerably more of a likelyhood.

Radical? Really? So in your mind, practicing our FIRST AMENDMENT right is RADICAL? Because that's ALL the Tea Party has ever done! That speaks volumes about where you're coming from. In fact, you've pretty much convinced me that you're a government paid troll. I can't imagine anyone else being so against people's right to be heard. If people speaking their minds bothers you that much then you really should consider moving to China. You'd love it there.

There's that "R" word again! Stop playing stupid (if you're indeed playing) and name names. and give facts, not just opinion. WHO ARE THE RACISTS AND WHY? Don't forget the "WHY" because without it your argument crumbles to dust.

Now you're getting completely ridiculous! What you're saying here is that you want unlimited access to MY money "for the children!" God that is really an old and lame non-argument. I'm still waiting for an explanation for your "racist" argument. Truth is, you have none.

The biggest joke of all is that you claimed to be so incredibly open minded while you regurgitate the ultra-left wing crap that we've all heard so many times before. Sorry, buy I think you're confusing "open minded" with "empty headed".

That is the point I've been trying to make with TPM all along. No one in thier right minds now wants to see our loving naton divided by stupid and moronic things.

You're fooling NO ONE. This isn't the point you've been trying to make. The point you've been trying to make is that you want unfettered access to our money, and you don't want any arguments. It's an undeniable fact, proven by your last message here.

I'd back Dr. Paul but the fact he wants to cut off all social programs keeps me from endorsing and supporting him. Social programs like SSI and SSD, Unemployment helped our nation recover and bounce back after WWII. Wow!! You are so incredibly long-winded! I can't believe that you finally ended here. I'm sure it was a painful choice on your part.

Ron Paul never said he would eliminate those things specifically. What he did say is that he would eliminate the Dept. of Education, the IRS, and DHS, among other agencies, and repeal NAFTA, bringing jobs back to this country. Those things alone would save us TRILLIONS, raise our standard of living, and then your social programs wouldn't be so burdened by poverty, but of course you somehow make a living through them although you refuse to say how, so actually helping those people would put you out of a job. We all know where you're coming from. I grew up with social workers, so I know how they think.

And once again, this paragraph proves your ultra-liberalism. Nope, no open-mindedness here!
