Michelle Obama - cracking under the pressure of being First Lady - is drinking way more than she should, friends fear.

Longtime pals have been keeping a close eye on her White House booze intake for months, sources told The ENQUIRER, and her husband President Barack Obama even stepped in when she recently consumed too much alcohol.

"When Barack saw Michelle drink more than she should at a recent dinner, he hit the roof. He told her, 'This is NOT going to turn into a problem!'" a close source told The ENQUIRER.

When has the National Enquirer ever been a source of real news?

Also your "source" doesn't mention divorce at all. Your title is just as misleading as their articles. You shouldn't make up stories.

Two glasses of champagne is not a problem.

Didn't Enquirer break the bat boy story?

Interesting gossip rumor though. It certainly does appear the Obama's are trying to live as high on the horse as possible while in office. Free booze would fit.

LOL!

The American People have taken to drinking more too! Too bad we can't all divorce Obama!

I just KNEW this was an Enquirer Story from the Headline. They are definitely NOT reliable, not even in the slightest way. Even Sorcha Faal works in a fact or two so that you keep wondering in the back of your mind, but the Enquirer is pure fiction! Not a lick of fact even for "Inquiry Minds" to speculate on.

Still, if it were true, who could blame her!

I believe she has been seeing former President Clinton a lot. If there were any fast food wrappers then you know Bill was there.

Surely, you remember a certain congressman that was wanting to be the Prez, and he had this affair and a baby and denied it all for over a year? Surely, you remember that the Enquirer was the one that touched the story that full year ahead of the MSM? True, they are not right up there with the NYT or the WSJ--or is it down there?

No don't do that!! Make threads, just check the sources out first. National Enquirer isn't a reliable source.

Believe me I have had my fair share of threads moved or deleted.

If you find something intersting you want to share just look into it for a bit before you post. I usually look for 15mins if its a news article to make sure there is more than one reliable source and then I post it.

I posted something yesterday about a UFO incident that was a hoax, I had no idea but I am glad someone told me. I looked silly stating it was real but I couldn't find much info online about it. Sometimes that will happen.

Don't stop making threads
If you have questions on making a thread, the mods are very helpful.

Sorry if my reply was a bit snotty, didnt mean for it to come across that way.

Don't get discouraged out of making threads.

Just seriously consider your source. The Enquirer is a tabloid. Yes, every now and then they get some stories right, but they should always be taken with a grain of salt.

I don't know if you believe this or not, considering you did not make a post after like you should explaining your take on the story.

It really isn't too late to turn this thread into something worthwhile if you wish. Give us your take, we, as a collective, believe in greys, no planes, and mole people. We are open minded, give it another shot friend.

NatEnq broke the John Edwards cheating scandal and that one turned out to be true.

If a drunken Michelle falls in the White House, does she make a sound?
Gee, I wonder what a drunk wookie sounds like

So you are saying that just because they were right one time I should believe everything they say?

OMG didnt they say Jesus was in toast? Should I believe that too?! No...

The National Enquirer isn't reliable also the OP mentions divorce and the article doesn't say that anywhere.

NYT and WSJ are more reliable yes. When a magazine states things like bat boy, jesus in toast, the devil live in the bahamas and stuff like that sorry I won't take anything they say seriously. If they want to be a news magazine they need to stop posting the silly and ridiculous articles they post. It's like crying wolf, cry it enough and nobody will believe you when something is actually wrong.

The National Enquirer is a rag, but it has broken more than a few Important news stories.

Check this....

I have mixed feelings about the news of the award because, although I don’t want to give The National Enquirer that much credibility, there is no doubt that the magazine has broken many important stories.

From here:

The 'Bat boy story was from the Weekly World News, I believe.

why are you getting bashed, well first off you have alot of obama lovers who cannot beleive the truth even if it hit them in the face, so dont get butt hurt when they bash you as this is their job and i mean on a literal terminology|!

2nd the msm has no creditablility with me or my family, i would beleive about 20 percent more what the national inquire- attention getting papers put out, so i am pretty sure that they are pretty close to the truth or they would not have writtten the article!
star and flag for you as it seems if the last several presidents have had binge problems and the truth of their nature needs to get out.

Just to keep things in perspective, GWB was a coc aine addict, according to what news source???

When it actually comes up in print that Michelle is knocking a few too many back, the Obamaphiles want to down the source then.

LOL! I am certainly not an Obamaphile, and my first post above even mentions that I wish the story were true, and would be understandable given the circumstances.

Still, the National Enquirer is probably the absolutely worst source I could imagine. There is not a shred of truth in those pages! This is well known to most kids in the US by age 6. If you have been reading for more than a year or two, you may believe in Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy, but you will realize that the Enquirer is trash, LOL!

Noone bashing you man, people are just saying this news source is not reliable. Don't take things personally in here.

Yes, no one is bashing you...simply bashing the source, you should look about and find out which sources are reliable and which are unreliable. Look on the bright side though, at least you didn't have the onion as a source like many people do...
