Sounds like it could be Gang Stalking, and then it would not be mental illness, it would just be that you have been placed on a local community watch list, they are doing this to individuals, and then the community start to monitor you.

What you likely need is a good lawyer if you can afford one, if not then cameras, and monitoring of your property.

There are lot's of Groups, forums, articles about this topic. You can go to Amazon.com and get books, but lawyers are likely the best thing.

I think you are referring to gang stalking. Don't bother sweeping for bugs, you won't find them - they don't NEED them... at the end of the day they can use your mobile phone as a bug, complete with positioning, can use your laptop etc etc. And to the people that believe the OP is suffering delusions of grandeur - it isn't the case that he or she has literally hundreds of people connected to them, you see it's all done under the guise of community policing / neighborhood watch etc with the infrastructure to harass targets literally engineered within to the community. Note that it is in large cities where there are most cases as the only resource needed is people, many of whom are volunteering in the genuine belief they are doing good, with the strings being pulled by corrupt officials misusing their power.

It strikes me how a lot of ATS members have the cheek to always dismiss these cases, but would openly admit the same techniques were used in Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union, except we've now reached a state of technology where to carry what could potentially be used as a bug is desirable by the consumer.

I don't think the OP is crazy per se - anyone would go a little bit crazy given what is happening. You have to remember there is a good reason why someone wants to hold you down, and THEY are the loser because they are so insecure about that they have to resort to desperate measures. Personally when it was happening to me - I initially succumbed to it, became depressed and self-loathing - this is what they want, but hit a point where I decided I would show them who is boss and got a real f**k you! attitude. I won and got them off my back for a while, but I know I can win, I AM a winner, at every setback I simply raise my game, and the overall effect is that my life is now the best it's ever been, because I HAD to raise my game. They have tried to harass me since, but I KNOW I can win, so I WILL win, b*llocks if they want to read my email etc because that takes a real low life hacking geek loser who has no life, b*llocks if they want to use their subtle little one-hand pointing, some of these people are BUMS! They want me down because I AM something and that in itself gives me the motivation to achieve what I want. I work so hard they CAN'T get me fired from any job - because the employer won't let me go. My long term goals are happening now and I am working so hard it can't possibly fail. They wanted to break me down but what they've done is make me stronger and all the more untouchable so my advise is to change you mindset and don't worry bout the rest!
