The tribe your talking about seems to be on a entirely different part of the world.... its near the brazilian-peruvian border. So near brazil right?

The tribe in the original post says that its in bay of bengal, which is basically in the indian ocean.

So, they're pretty far apart. Just wanted make that part clear...

If I'm wrong correct me..

I can't speak for the authenticity of the photo.

However, this is a ethnic group within the scope of Negritos - dark-skinned aboriginal peoples of South East Asia and the Philippines.

The Coastal Migration Theory in Anthropology is believed to support their pre-Asiatic arrival to these places.

As far as being a Galapagos of Humans: in a way yes, and in a way no. The reason they are still Negritos and not intermixed with Asian and Indo-Aryan peoples is due to their isolation.

There's a lot of topical information on these people on Wikipedia with links to anthropological websites.

S&F - but not the last I hope.

Reminded me of the Kogi's:

Video: “The elder brothers’ warning”
...sorry I can't imbed - but this is an incredible story.

Cannibals or No, these people are deffinately different. I thought it was kind of funny when they shot the hog that was supposed to be a gift only to bury it.

They are believed to have arrived on the Island some 60.000 years ago.

They are thought to be directly descended from the first human populations to emerge from Africa, and have probably lived in the Andaman Islands for up to 60,000 years. The fact that their language is so different even from other Andaman islanders suggests that they have had little contact with other people for thousands of years.

This does not mean, however, that they live just as they did 60,000 years ago. Commonly described, for instance, as belonging to the ‘Stone Age’, they do in fact make tools and weapons from metal, which they recover from ships wrecked on the island’s reefs.

Sorry all about the pics. I hadnt a clue they were fakes. Guess i should have done a little more digging. Anywho the pics being fake does not take away from the fact that these people do exist, cut off from civilization.

Maybe you should edit them out of your OP to avoid further confusion. Or change them with authentic pics?

Awesome find, MessontheFed!

These folks are damn right to be so much on the defensive... just as if they already knew, intuitively, about the impending destruction and corruption our "civilization" would bring to them. Just as if they foresaw their crops and plants robbed by Monsanto patents, their forest clear-cut by the logging industry and that nice beach being transformed in a tourist resort, crowded by filthy arrogant bastards from rich countries who talk about these bad "savages" and their ungodly cannibalism.

Even if they would survive a progressive invasion, all these natives would be left to do for a living is, just as in every Caribbean island, to work as underpaid labor for the tourist industry, or perhaps for sweatshops. Oh want are they missing!!! All the democracy and culture!

Talk about people who are ready to fight and die for their freedom, unlike us flimsy Westerners who only do that in their crappy macho blockbuster movies. If they're lucky enough, they'll survive as they are beyond the collapse of our civilization. And I'd be glad to know, at least, that they turn out like this.

I dont think that these people should ever be contacted for the purpose of civilizing. They peobably have their very own distinct culture. When i think about these people I think about history. You know, how people lived from the beginning. They are a national treasure the way i see it and they need to be left alone.

Thanks forthe input!

I dont think they should be held accountable for their actions. They are basically savages with no care or want for civilization. You wouldnt go into a lions den and compplain because you got ate would you? Could you hold the lions accountable?

They weren't fakes. There was just some confusion as to the actual location.
It was Detroit!

You made a valid point. Maybe they have a collective memory about past mistakes made when welcoming strangers to their home.

That video was very interesting. Its like they almost wanted to be friendly, but they were still very standoffish. I guess if i was in their shoes i would have probably done the same.

Well if there were 40 of them well maybe a hundred. And if they would eat each other. Do you think there would be any left?
