This is really weird,

I was sitting in my bedroom in front of my computer,
I had the light on so my room was very well lit,

Im sitting there and I see this tiny little fruit fly hovering over to where it was right in front of my face,
It was just hovering like 1 foot away from my nose,
And Im just sitting there staring at it for about 5 seconds

Then all of the sudden,
It just blinked out of existence, like it just disappeared into thin air,
I tried passing my hand over the area where the fly was just hovering and there was nothing there,

It was not my eyes playing tricks on me,
It was definitely a fruit fly,
and somehow it just vanished right before my eyes

I was thinking maybe it went into another dimension or something,
But I dont know how thats possible when it was right in front of my face

It is one of the strangest things I have ever seen in my life

I have heard of the Philadelphia Experiment where a huge ship vanished into another dimension because they were using some huge Tesla Coils,
But with the fly that I seen, It just disappeared on its own,

What do you guys think?
Has anyone ever experienced or heard of anything like this?

I've experienced this before. However, I am convinced that my mind was just playing a trick on me.

You probably just didn't see it move.

I've lost count of the amount of times I've chased flies around my living room, kept an eye on them and then *poof*, their gone, only to reappear somewhere else.

Obviously, they don't have miniature warp drives. They're just so small it's easy to lose them with a movement of the eye, or them being camoflaged against the backdrop etc etc...

Occams razor, mate. Flies are unlikely to vanish into other dimensions. Flies are very likely to small and fast, therefore easy to lose track of.

I can't really help you there but I've had a fly buggin me all day - wish it would disappear like yours did. How come they know when you get the swatter? Did you blink?

Something similar happened to me once with a beetle.

I chuckled when, after 20 minutes of searching I came to the conclusion it must be one of the new DoD spy-bugs.

The elusive little critter made a reappearance a few days later, but eluded me again as I went in for the kill. I could not confirm the kill, nor that the beetle had ever been there.

I didn't laugh that second time; but I haven't seen him since.

i've had something very similar happen with a spider a couple weeks ago. i was sitting on my front step and i was watching a spider crawling across the driveway in front of me...it was just crawling along and then it was just gone. i had to blink once or twice to double check that i just hadnt been staring at it too long or anything. but nope...just gone, mid crawl...it didnt stop and disappear or anything, it just vanished mid way through wherever it was going..

*edit to add, yes i did get up to check and see if i just couldnt see it from where i was sitting. it was completely gone.

'kind regards' or 'cheers' BS..

I had this same experience as Thread Op, there was this annoying fly i thought i got rid off, as i splashed it on my hand, i though i got it in my hand, but i didn't.

So maybe the fly went into a different matrix?

Because i was looking for the fly all over.

Good post Drummerboy and an interesting thread OP.

how do you know it was thin air? does ozone effect matter? does an active element of a dimensional nature that is first make this possible?

KATSUO.....

Ive never had that happen before

That's because there's not been a need for me to write to you before, which means I've never been able to say "Kind regards" or "Cheers" to you before.

Kind regards

This is for real,
It didnt move or fly away,

The background was all white,
This little black fly flew right over and hovered right in front of my face,
I was staring right at it the entire time,
I didnt blink at all,
I was actually watching it disappear right before my eyes,
It almost looked like it shrunk so small that it just vanished

It may have appeared to be a fruit fly but in reality I beleive you had a fairy sighting and they are good at shrinkin themselves up small and they very often just dissappear!

Maybe it flew and you blinked at exactly the same time but you did not realize you blinked. Blinking is something I don't believe we're paying attention to most of the time. However we do lose sight of things for a fraction of second.

Second alternative: You have a multi-dimensional time shifting fruit fly.

Third alternative: You have an extremely advanced bug zapper. It zaps bugs out of existence. How much are you going to sell it for? I want one.

I just thought of a 4th alternative: It wasn't really a fruit fly. It was an advanced US government probe designed to look like a fly. When the officers back at headquarters noticed you were looking at their fruit fly a little bit too much, they decided to turn on the invisibility or stealth mode. I've read they have ways to bend light or reflect light from behind an object to make that object appear invisible. It would be an extremely advanced piece of equipment to put all this on a flying robot the size of a fruit fly.

I know I didnt blink,

I was like "WTF is this fly doing?"

It just came and hovered right in front of my face,

Im starting to think it might be a multidimensional fly or fairy or whatever also

Or maybe I was concentrating on it so hard that I destroyed it or sent it into another dimension
