Released two hours ago...wikileaks is preparing to release CIA paper tomorrow. I have no idea what CIA paper they are referring to and they do not give any information on what it contains that I am able to find. Based on the recent character assassination attempt wikileaks has gone through recently, is this paper in turn a character assassination the other way around?

Replying to myself here with related news articles all reporting from MSM networks and also tossing in the Rape allegations as part of the CIA paper release. Talk about smear campaign...could it be any more obvious?

Waiting for tomorrow.
I appreciate the heads up.
Not sure what else to add, since I am
not known for my speculation skills.

Looking forward to more leaks.

There is speculation in some circles that the CIA paper is something that would implicate them in trying to bring down Wikileaks through media or pressure on foreign nations. It is speculation. No way to know for sure until tomorrow, but with MSM following Wikileaks Twitter account there seems to be some merit to that speculation.

It makes me wonder if it will be something from the "Insurance" file Wikileaks spoke of having.
Since Assange was recently attacked, maybe he is striking back with a taste of what he holds as insurance in order to hold off future attacks....??

Either way, this is becoming quite an unprecedented string of events, I think it is really interesting seeing this all play out.

It's like a movie isn't it? Assange is the protagonist and the US is the antagonist of the movie. I will also keep close tabs on this whole affair to see how it plays out.

This is a very interesting drama being played out, but I wonder who the director really is?

Is it a 2nd line?

I'm sure the password on that file is so intricate that luck would have nothing to do with opening it. That's gotta be one helluva password.

The government probably already know the contents of the insurance file. It was originally there "stuff" anyway.

This is just getting way to big.

Was WikiLeaks setup to be the straw that breaks the camel's back?

Most of the world believes in a large number of US imperial conspiracies.

It would not take much hard evidence from WikiLeaks to convince them of an unfounded war in Iraq and Afghanistan and maybe even it's co-operation during 9/11.

Hell, I don't care who is directing this thing, as long as the people get more information than they have been getting for many years. I want truth. Maybe there are two elements in the CIA, the good guys and the bad guys. Maybe Wikileaks is part of the CIA and there are bad parts trying to hide information while the other part exposes the information. Maybe we are witnessing a game of cloak and dagger, an internal operation designed to expose flaws within the CIA prior to any actual enemy finding those flaws. Who knows, but I am all for truth no matter where it comes from or who provides it. As always don't trust the source to not have motivations of their own, but don't distrust the source because they have their own motivation.

I'm not to sure that I trust the integrity of WL, just as some others. I'm sure that this release will either be relatively insignificant or worse, completely false. There are far too many red flags going up, in relation to both Assange and WL.

Then again , it's possible that this whole wikileaks thing is a distraction to keep everyone's focus in one direction ?

Or , it could be that we are all playing right into their hands and don't even realize it .

Think about it ... We are presented with the guy in the white hat whose mission it is to expose the sinister secrets of the world . This creates a huge following from all around the globe .

If and when the guy on the white horse leaks something that drives large groups of people to tidal-wave-levels of anger and rebellion , they will most assuredly step in and quell the mutiny ., eg: martial law / internet crackdown , etc .

The truth? A distraction?

Unheard of.

Haha! O'boy this was really funny!

I don't think Wikileaks NEED to convince the rest of the world of an unfounded war in Iraq and Afghanistan!

Well with the above response you did prove that (assuming you told the truth about the dog and gunpowder) it very well can be a distraction.

But Wikileaks being a distraction? Wikileaks is where we should be looking. We also should be looking everywhere else.

Theres no reason to have a linear attention span on global events.

But that wasn't my point. Obviously the truth can 'distract' by definition..

So yes, I agree that the Wikileaks thing is supposed to be a 'distraction', to keep everyones focus on itself. But a bad distraction? I think not... I'm glad this is distracting me from hearing news of America's got Talent or the Jersey Shore.

Could you more clearly elaborate on why Wikileaks being a 'distraction' by presenting government documents would be of such significance to be concerned about?

Your speculation seems to imply that government will attempt to tighten their grip on the internet (one of our last defenses against tyranny) using Wikileaks as a 'national security' issue excuse.. More regulations, more control.

But do you actually think that they could blatantly get away with trying that? Even attempting that would make it clear to people who are not as aware as those of us on ATS who the real enemy is. 'Hello we will be passing new safety regulations on the internet because a 'rapist' 'stole' government documents and posted them on the internet for the people to see and exposed us for what we are and what we do.'
(Even if the smear campaigns work, (changing public opinion on the founder of Wikileaks, to make him a Rapist, and a Theif [oh the horror] the information he is providing should speak for itself.) Regardless of character, the truth is the truth..

Rebellion means change, yes, a rebellion is likely. But with public awareness so high, in the direction of whats being presented and with more people waking up... Do you think that they will stand for the PTB putting up a last resort effort in their grasp for control? At this point it would be clear and will become a game of numbers.

Very true. When you take a hostage, you usually want the person you are trying to get something from to know who you have. The same with blackmail. You dont just say, "I have something on you" you tell them WHAT you have. Our guys already know what Assange has on them. He told them. Or showed them. Or otherwise let them know, so they knew what they would be risking if they harmed him.

This CIA doc may be a small part of his "insurance" policy, to punish them for trying to frame him for rape.

That prosecutor woman in the video in the OP has some way creepy eyes, too, btw. Scary looking chick.
